Stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days at the end of June for 3 days at the Disney parks. We have stayed at other Hampton Inn & Suites before and were satisfied with those locations, but I felt this location left a lot to be desired for the price we paid. Pros: 1)The room was clean (though the floor was damp from what we assume was it being shampooed?), we loved the bunk bed/king size suite we booked- it was nice to have a door to shut when the kids fell asleep and I still had to shower/get things packed and ready for the next day at the parks. 2)It is conveniently located next to the Toy Story Disneyland shuttle - the Katella entrance was open the whole time we were there so it was literally only a 10 minute walk from hotel room to security line/bus. 3)The breakfast was good and convenient to have before heading to the parks in the morning. They had plenty of food options and kept it well-stocked. Cons:
So overall I would say the stay was decent, and if it had been cheaper, I'd probably not have complained because generally you get what you pay for, but for the amount we paid here I expected more/better, and I would choose another hotel when we come back for another...
Read moreWe are a family of four who stayed here for our first time last week. Our room had a king bed, a bunk bed, pull out sofa couch, a sliding divider to section room into two spaces, a microwave, a mini fridge, coffee/tea maker, 2 TV’s, bathtub, mini-desk… all the things we needed (and more). Everything was easy to book (we did it the ol’ fashioned way by telephone call. Checking in/out - easy! & every staff member was very helpful & kind. They gave us recommendations for where to go on our off-Disney day & location was great for a wide variety of restaurants. Good vibes all around. We took Uber/Lyft too/from park (easy!) Rooms were safe, clean, lots of space - our friend, a fifth person stayed on the sofa bed comfortably. Pool and hot tub were great - clean pool towels on deck, comfortable/shaded furnishings near pool. Biggest bonus was how helpful staff was when I came down with a head cold. They brought me medicine, hot tea, tissue boxes, extra pillows and blankets, bottled water, and even a hand written note wishing me well. That was so touching and above and beyond anything I’d expect. Breakfast was meh but as to be expected with Covid protocols making food service difficult. We picked fruit, bagels, and yogurt from the food boxes provided. Room service was available by request. Safes in rooms. Really happy with this place and would stay again and highly recommend. Thanks to everyone at the front desk for helping me feel better!
Update, 6/2024: returned from another stay here recently. Third time here and everything in my first review still holds true: nice staff, family suite with bunk beds and dividing doors between rooms gives us the space we need with three adults and one teenager. Only thing we’d appreciate is the hot tub being aligned with Disney hours so we can soak after a long park day but I understand that isn’t practical. On our most recent trip, I noticed the water pressure in our shower was poor. Not just a low flow thing but worse… my husband mentioned it to the front desk and we had a new shower head by the end of the day. The new one fixed the water flow issue. We were impressed and appreciated the quick response time. Also, breakfast here has really improved (no more Covid restriction options). We all made sure to have a healthy breakfast before heading into the park - that and the coffee really helped us start our days right… thank you Hampton Inn & Suites - we...
Read moreAs a whole this hotel is very nice. By no means is it luxury but it more then gets the job done. It is very clean, nice surroundings. Looks like a lot of eating options nearby. One downside I see thus far is that they may have a governor on the A/C thermostat.
Updated after trip:
Hampton Inn Anaheim CA We debated days before on whether to change our reservation to a fancier hotel that other people in our party were staying at. I’m glad that we didn’t change in the end. It was less points and it was perfect for our short stay. The location was great! I can’t get over how close it is to Disney Land. It was very lively during the day because of the AKA conference being held in the area and the normal Disney traffic, but was super quiet at night. I was impressed by how clean the area was and the diverse selection of restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. The hotel faced what I consider a major road on one side ( noise was not an issue ) and a large parking / transit area on the back. You have to enter/ exit through a gate to get to the front entrance. That made the parking area feel more secure, but the spaces seemed a little tight for full sized SUV’s. Very beautifully maintained property inside and out. Our room was upgraded to a very large family type suite because of our anniversary celebration. Super large, clean and very quiet. Initially the mattress felt hard but we ended up having an amazing nights sleep. If I could have taken the mattress home I would have. The only problems encountered were that the bathroom door having an annoying hinge squeak and I had trouble figuring out the a/c thermostat. Called the front desk and everything was taken care of within minutes. Liked the fact that they had 3 elevators. We skipped the breakfast the first day because of some of the reviews stating that it wasn’t good but decided to try it the 2nd day and was very pleased with the options. Went back on day #3 also. We would definitely return to this hotel if ever in the area again. Our friends had a nicely decorated hotel and room but they paid more and didn’t really enjoy...
