The ride uses an impressive ride vehicle and does toss you around a bit. Not enough to really be concerning but it's definitely a more proper thrilling ride in comparison to the more relaxing rides within the park.
The imagery within the ride can be a bit frightening for those with a sensitivity to bones or fear of darkness. The effects within the ride are fantastic and riding it multiple times can give you different effects within one of the first rooms.
I'm not a parent but as a child who had been to Disneyland and as an adult who has now rode the ride many times I can give that perspective based on content. As a child I adored the ride and had good memories of it. Riding it again much later in life shocked me a bit by how intense of a ride it is in comparison to my memories of it. Do I believe it's a good ride for children? Yeah... It is good for kids like 8 and up since that's when I first rode it, at least in my opinion.
If you are there for a multi day trip this ride is good to sit in the long line for at least once if you've never seen it. The line is fantastic and so many cool things to look at. The atmosphere is awesome and the build up is legendary. It can also be a short line at times if you keep a close eye on the estimated line times on the apps if you are opposed to standing for extended...
Read moreOH MY GOD THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE RIDES. I rode this ride for reals last Wednesday and I was geeking out. This ride is so well crafted and it has so many quick and small references to the films. I love how there are props from the franchise scattered all over the ride, whether that be the truck outside of the ride or the items found in Jones’ office. It was raining when I went and Although the queue is outdoors we were completely covered by the trees. I feel like that enhanced the experience and made it seem as if we were truly in a rainforest. The room with the god of the temple on the ceiling was so cool. I loved the little film room in which Sallah instructs you on what to do. The queue in it of itself is an attraction in it or its own. The ride is even better with special effects not commonly seen in rides of today anymore. I could rant for hours but I’ll just leave it here in order to not spoil the experience for those intrested in going on an expedition with the well renowned...
Read moreIn my late teenage years, I had the opportunity to visit Disneyland a few times due to a county wide nonprofit organization that would meet every year for 2 and half days in Orange County, Anaheim. As our team grew to a closing at the second day (Saturdays) we’d kick the night off with a visit to the ever so popular Disneyland. To make a long story short, Jungle Cruise was a highlight because of the famed Temple of the Forbidden Eye, going on the ride more than 4-5 times. With its unique theme song, artistry of ancient mythological India, snakes all over the place, twists and turns, scary creatures, awesome lightning, Indiana Jones movie memorabilia, teen to young adult employees who really are just there to collect that paycheck (I can understand☺️), cool small movie subplot, and most importantly, a jolly good time. Eyes of Mara will make you...
