My family and I were going to be attending Wicked. We parked in the nearby ramp which was very convenient and hadn't decided where we were going to eat yet. We passed by Copperleaf and decided to check out the connected restaurant. Even with our impromptu stop with no reservation, the kindly staff looked over the reservations list and found a table that had a couple hours open before their reservation for it. So they allowed us to eat in, without a fuss, and without making us feel guilty. Following that, the ambience, the menu, and the staff, continued to surprise us with their professionalism, perfect understanding of the menu, and their adaptability to special requests, which included them helping us to avoid allergies. The prices, while a bit up there, came with perfect serving sizes, and everything was made correctly as requested. We decided to be a bit adventurous with drinks and although we did not care for one of the mixed drinks, it was still mixed to perfection, and would have been ideal for someone who likes a tangy drink,, so we were able to finish it off without complaint, because the staff made it properly, but misjudged our own taste buds. Haha. The wine was amazing. And we had the Créme Brûlée for desert, which was almost too large to finish after a big meal, but was so delicious I found just the right amount of space left for it in me somehow! The restroom is a one stall private size, handicap accessible, and the dining room able are well spaced out so you are not on top of other diners. Mood lighting, but not too dark, and a real unscented twilight candle on table for ambiance. Staff were consistently within our area that should we need something we had plenty of chances to catch their attention. But they also were so thorough that we only needed to call them once, for a refill on a condiment. And they refilled our water for us if it was low when they were at our table. How nice. The menu was clearly printed, and the prices are listed so you can still watch the price. And in total, for my family of 3, out bill, including drinks, and desert, came to $109. And we left a $20 tip. Excellent place to dine. Worth the money, and my family and I will definitely return again for other special days. Perfect precursor to going to see Wicked in celebration of my mother's birthday! She said she'd remember this as the best birthday ever. She was so moved. I'm glad I was able to give her a special treat this year, since it's been so hard the last couple years. Thank you for a wonderful...
Read moreFirst off, I'd like to start by saying the food here is amazing. However, if you have a food allergy do NOT eat here. My friends and I went here on Saturday night and ended up eating in the overflow lobby area. It was nice and there was one bartender who didn't have any bar patrons and one other table. I told him that I have a dairy allergy and asked him to help me figure out what I could eat on the menu. I told him my lips swell up if I eat any dairy. He just stared at me. I asked if a few things could be made dairy free, he told me "no" for things that had been adjusted other places for me to be made dairy free (fish fry). I asked him if he could ask the kitchen if they could make it dairy free for me. He told me shortly "I know what has dairy in it". Then I asked him if the lobster roll could be made dairy free. He told me "it's made with mayonnaise." and I asked if it was dairy free. He very haughtily told me that "mayonnaise is diary free." At this point I was pretty fed up with him being so rude to me for no reason, I can't help that I'm allergic to diary, believe me, I'd love to eat a cheese curd and not die. Finally I ordered and he told me they would leave the creme fraiche off my order. I thanked him and asked to make sure they didn't use butter for any of the veggies. He acted like I was being ridiculous. After that he was very passive aggressive the rest of the night. I asked two separate times for water, one time with a beer. He brought the beer but never the water. We were literally the only table he was helping, the one other table in his lobby area had left at this point. Finally my friend asked for 3 waters and he finally brought some. I really felt like he was making a point to not do anything I had asked for. It was such an awful experience. That night I had a hard time sleeping because I was seriously concerned that he had ignored my dairy allergy and that I would be waking up unable to breathe in the middle of the night. I ordered two beers that night and a $32 plate. I was never rude or unfriendly to him. I feel like spending that kind of money should at least get friendly customer service instead of passive aggressive apathy. Worst restaurant experience I've had in years. Sad because the food was so great, but can't risk my health to eat...
Read moreI ate here last night with my brother and sister in law for my brothers birthday. I had never been there before and like to try new places. My brother was once with a salesman from his product supplier. I was very disappointed with most aspects. I walked in alone at first. The bartender dressed in blue jeans and black shirt exposing her stomach and side skin greeted me right away. She said I'll be with you shortly. I replied with take your time the other two in my party will be here in a few minutes. She replied with " don't tell me to take my time." The other girl that came behind the bar had a odd black strapped shirt on that made me think of the 50 shades of grey movie. I thought the First Lady was just being funny at that point. I later learned she was not. After My other two guests got there we waited 5 minutes with no service. We checked in and they said our table for our reservation was ready. They took us to our table for three which had two chairs, place settings, and such. They brought a chair from the other room even thou there were empty tables everywhere. It was just a long odd pause. The waiter was friendly and such but didn't seem to know a lot about the food or menu. I will be the first to admit I eat mainly at steak and seafood supper clubs so I didn't know what a lot of the things were. I felt like he was reading off a sales pitch not having a conversation. He did a lot of the salesman respond to a question with a question not answers. I believe he used the phrase very good 100+ times during our visit. The food was ok nothing special and the portion sizes were tiny. Every time you ordered something it took forever. I had bread, chicken Marsala, and desert, and two old fashions and was still hungry to the point I honestly thought of grabbing something else somewhere. All in all I don't see the prices matching the product and services offered here. The employees were dressed and acted like they were at a fast food Restraunt. They must feel confident that their jobs are secure thou the waiter and one of the bartenders were hugging in the middle of the bar when we left. The food tasted ok and would fill you up if you were a young child but not a average adult. I think we have much better choices in the area to spend our money at and don't...
