Octoberfest - Downtown Appleton — Local services in Appleton

Heard this event was giant and was really excited to attend. It is billed as an Oktoberfest, but there are no polka bands, or dancing, no pretzel, schnitzel, stein carrying or keg throwing, or even a Bier Garten. It IS a large outdoor music festival with good local bands on multiple stages. Beer $6 for all varieties, (no Miller,Leinies, or Point, but Bud was available for some reason). And biggest cash grab was $5 for bracelet to be ALLOWED to buy beer. Local bars were banned from carryout to prevent competition with event. Friday night car show was totally worth it, and would suggest attending that and passing on the faux Oktoberfest...
