BEWARE! Worst Stay Ever!||||Damages, Roaches, Bugs Beware! Read for more details…||||I was placed into a smoking room even though I don’t smoke. I inquired if I could be placed into a non-smoking room, but was told that they were fully booked and would have to pay $60 for another room. I asked if I could be placed in the same type of room just that it’s non-smoking vs. smoking…. Sasha, front desk staff said, “I have another room I can place you,” which was odd that she stated she was fully booked, but then found a room to move us. I didn’t want to question it further, and so I moved from Rm. 115 to Rm. 109.||||The odor in the room was still very horrible. It wasn’t as strong of a cigarette scent as Rm. 115, but I figure I guess it was slightly better. However, I then went to the restroom and the door could not close as the hinges were broken. I told Sasha if I could have something written on paper acknowledging that she is aware of the damaged door and to make note that I should not be responsible for it.||||Then I started to notice that many other items in the room were broken. There was no smoke detector, which I found disconnected in the dresser drawer. There was no iron and the ironing board was broken. The cable wiring outlet plate was broken, and cable wire was not properly connected due to the busted plate, so the television didn’t work. There was no signal. The desk chair was broken, the dresser top was damaged, hole in the wall, drapes ripped, bedding with holes to name a few damages. So I went back to Sasha and told her about all the other damages, which she acknowledged she knew of. I gave her back the letter to include the other damages, and so she added another sentence stating that I would not be responsible for any damage in the room as she acknowledged that she was aware of all the damages, which puzzled me as to why she would still place me in a room that was not properly maintained. Nonetheless, I stayed there as that was the room I was assigned, she already moved me, and she did mention she had no other available rooms previously, so I figured I’ll just stick it out as she acknowledged that she was aware of the damages, but that I am not responsible.||||However, to make matters worse, the night I checked in, I was sleeping and felt something crawling on my arm, a HUGE ROACH crawled on me and bugs were on the bed. After, screaming and flying the roach off my arm, I had to grab my shoes to smack/smash it dead! I called to have new bedding, but was informed that housekeeping was already gone for the night, so Sasha, who was still there, and apparently is the daughter of the owner’s sister brought me new bedding which I changed out…. that night, I didn’t want to sleep with the lights off as I was too afraid to have more bugs crawling on me. Yikes! Scary and Worst feeling ever. I couldn’t get a restful sleep with the lights on and I was pretty petrified that other bugs would come out if the lights were turned off. ||||Although Sasha was aware of all the damages in the room and acknowledged it was broken as well as the pest situation as I showed her the roach I just swatted on the floor when she brought me new bedding, she did not accommodate my needs and kept me in the room due to their lack of rooms to accommodate me. ||||The hotel had already pre-charged me for my stay upon checkout-in and because it is the first NFL Opening Sunday Night Football Game of the Dallas Cowboys vs. Buccaneers Game, most hotels were fully booked, so I felt stuck between a rock and a hard plate as I had already paid with a no refund policy for my stay with not many other affordable hotels to choose from. I had no other reasonable alternative at that point in time. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told the manager is not in. The following morning, I asked to speak to the manager, but apparently the manager was not in again and after I returned in the afternoon from my event, the manager was still not in. I had told Sasha that I feel I should be particularly refunded or that my room should be discounted bc of the damages and pests stated earlier, and my husband could not even access the television to watch college football as the television had no signal. However, she said I needed to speak to a manager, who for the third time was not accessible.||||Furthermore, I had booked my stay 3 months in advance to ensure I had accommodations for the game, and was told via phone that AT&T Stadium is walking distance and that “many people walk there all the time,” so based on that information, I thought the walk shouldn’t be too far, but it is quite a distance away!||||Furthermore, all they had for breakfast was a choice between packaged honey bun or cinnamon roll, bananas, yogurt, cereal, milk and coffee. Not much of a breakfast. I did grab a couple cinnamon rolls for my husband and I as well as a honey bun; however, the wrapping on one cinnamon bun was already open, so I didn’t trust eating it and the other was solid like a rock. Thus, we didn’t eat their breakfast during our stay.||||Then upon checking out, I asked if I could speak to a manager to ask if I could have a partial refund due to all the damages, lack of amenities, pests and no smoke detector, but was told the manager is not in. I asked if I could speak to him via phone as I have been asking to speak with him all weekend, but was told he is busy as he manages a few properties. I told Chris, the person at the front desk about all the problems I had, showed him pictures and that I have been asking to speak to a manager all weekend. I told him that Sasha is aware and that I shared my concerns with her multiple times. He said that he didn’t know who Sasha is? I said that she is the person who worked the weekend and is the daughter of the owner’s sister. He played dumbfounded as though he didn’t know who helped me over the weekend. I said, “If Sasha is not her name, then she lied to me?” At that point, I demanded to speak to someone who would listen to my concerns. A person by the name of Lena came out. She said she isn’t the Manager, but asked what the problem is? I had to repeat myself again, which started becoming annoying and very frustrating. I told her the situation, showed her pictures and asked if I could be partially refunded. She said that she is aware that I came on the weekend and said I was offered another room by weekend staff. I told her, “If I was offered another room; of course, I would have taken it.” I told her, “Anyone in their right mind would have taken the offer of another room if it was offered to them, but that no offer was ever made.” She was adamant about not compromising with me and refused to give a partial refund. She kept telling me that I was offered another room and I repeated myself telling her that I wasn’t offered another room. I started to raise my voice as I felt like I was talking to a brick wall. She was unyielding, unfair, unkind, rude, disrespectful, harsh, etc. and then threatened to call the police as she said she is not going to listen as I started to raise my voice and that she refuses to talk to me. I told her “Go ahead! Call the police, then I can show them the pictures and explain to them why I’m upset!” She didn’t call the police, so I told her if you are not calling, then I’ll call them if that’s what you want and I’ll call the building inspector, too! She tried to threaten me, but knowing I was in the right to vocalize my experience and my frustration, I threw it back at her. I told her, “I’m asking for a reasonable fair remedy with a partial refund; why are you making it so difficult when I’m the customer and am already showing the damages and pictures? If I call the police, fire Marshall or building inspector; the fines inflicted on you maybe worst than a partial refund?” At that point, I was already running late for an AT&T self-guided tour and told her; I’m willing to work with you and take a partial refund. I’m trying to work with you not against you and I won’t call any legal authorities if you just compromise and work with me. She then offered a refund for a day only because I believe I frightened her when I mentioned the building inspector, and as she realized they are in the wrong, so after disputing the charges and forewarning her about the legal authorities I would call, she then compromised a bit…. However, that was horrible customer service!!! Threatening to call the police and not going thru with it and not compromising to begin with. It was worst than pulling teeth and hair just to get a fair remedy to the situation. If I didn’t stand my ground and challenge her, I would not have been able to have any refund at the way she was acting with hostility. I can only imagine what other patrons have to deal with. Thus, only with having to really stand my ground I was given 1 of 3 days partially refunded. Felt I should have gotten at least 50% off, but it was a miracle just getting 33%. ||||Lastly, hopefully she (Lena) and Chris didn’t lie about their names as well because the receipt she produced had Clerk listed as Mike, but they provided their names as Lena and Chris. ||||BEWARE! DO NOT trust this place! Worst Stay Ever!!! This hotel is NOT Compliant with Building Inspection Regulations, Pest Control and Fire Prevention Safety Codes. It is a family owned busy full of lies, covering up for each other. Generally, I love supporting family owned businesses, but not when they have false advertisement, lie and mistreat patrons.||||Wish I read previous reviews and heeded the warnings on hotel and travel websites! Read moreThis hotel had bed bugs...In the middle of night I got bit over 20 times. They did not want to compensate other than changing rooms. We went to another room and inspected the beds and that room had it too. We asked them to look at the room and refused to look. We went into a 3rd room and we were inspecting the bedroom as well and the man calls and said you been in there for 10 minutes we don't need you messing up our beds. The 3rd room did not have any. The lady at front desk only stated they would not charge us for our stay. If we decided to leave however it was 5 am in the morning and all hotels next to us were booked due to the Dallas Cowboys opening game against New York Giants. When we looked around for other rooms they were requiring a 2 night minimum. Which we could not do because we were flying out Monday. I had family staying at another hotel and stayed with them. I left all my bags not to transfer anything to them in their 5 star hotel. The following morning when we went to check out about refund, discount or compensation they refused to do any of it. Mind you before I went down stairs i had already caught 7 and put them in my large cup from McDonald's, so they knew we were not lying or over exaggerating about the situation. She refused to look into the cup even though i sat the cup in front of her on the counter. So the morning of dealing with the situation she wasn't at all concerned or even sorry of the situation. As the check out situation when speaking to the man about the problem she came in and changed her story stating that they stated they would refund the whole stay and put us up in another hotel. Which was a lie. She stayed she stayed she would not charge the 2nd night and refund if we wanted to swith hotels. Which believe me we looked and at coming into 6 am or so of dealing with a situation that was a stay of less than 24 hours. And probably 2 and a half hours of sleep due to closing down the bar and waking up to bed bug bites is so not the business. Long story short they argued and lied. They stated they treated the rooms and hired an exterminater, no receipt to back it up. They only refunded $30.They stated 15 per night which was the taxes to the so called sweet they upgraded us to. I inquired about Which was not a option when your from out of state at 6 am in the morning and no options to explore other than the outskirts of Arlington and the only transportation is LYFT. I have attached my bites but not the videos of the videos of the bed bugs on the bed and crawling up the wall. I will try to post videos later if it allows me to. Also I had to get a large garbage bag an come to the laundromat to have a lil piece of mind taking my bags home because as we checked in we only left are bags and were gone all day and night. My bags sat on my bed open for hours. Seeing those tiny little bed bugs on the white bed sheets were originally noticeable you really had to look and inspect to find them and see them originally i thought it was mosquitos until I felt the bite on my neck and slapped it away looked on the pillow and seen a large bed bug that i safely put into the large cup. I then started to search the bed and blankets and nothing was visible. Until I started combing through more thoroughly due to so many bites through out my body. Sure enough caught 7 in the cup plus the 1 on the wall crawling on the wall. Who knows how much may be in there. Sad thing is I know I'm not the only one and this is a known issue and I don't feel like they are taking care of the measures to treat and take care of the situation for future guest. I spoke to the maid on site and she made it seem as though they did not bring up the bed bug situation to her in the morning. I asked what they do she did say spray but that was it. We were in room 202 2nd level. The second room was down stairs 115 I can't recall. Also I did not see any bedding tossed out. I assume they just rewash the clean bedding with the contaminated bedding spreading the bugs and eggs. Also if they vacuum its just...
