This had to be the most horrifying experience I have had at a supposedly "upscale" restaurant in my life! The service was worse than horrible! After several calls to make, confirm, and clarify mix-ups concerning reservations, there was STILL a mix-up when we arrived and we STILL had NO RESERVATION and NO TABLE for my Aunt's birthday dinner. Once we decided to go ahead and wait 20 minutes to be seated (BIG MISTAKE!), the hostess came to us and said that she had a table on the stage and that was the best she could do (with attitude, as if she was doing us a favor, to add to our inconvenience)! Once we were seated near the BLARING speakers, we had to speak to a manager and request compensation for our inconvenience, which was almost non-existent. We ordered appetizers and entrees from our waitress. After an hour or more of waiting, we finally caught the attention of our waitress, as she promptly served other tables, to ask the ETA of our food. She replied (with much attitude of course) IT'S COMING! THEY'RE GETTING IT NOW! We finally get our COLD FOOD and because we are all starving we begrudgingly eat the cold, bland, tasteless, overpriced food. Our waitress brings our tickets and my price is higher than the price on my menu. Needless to say, they had given us a mixture of menus with old and new prices. They did honor the price of the menu with the lowest price and adjusted the food price accordingly, yet charged the same gratuity as the higher-priced ticket, which was at a percentage rate that the waitress tried to convince me of but couldn't quite explain. To add insult to injury, we had been told we had to wear black & white because they were also hosting the owner's birthday party. I guess impressing the owner's birthday party guests was more of a concern for the Museum Bar than the service, or lack thereof, provided to potential repeat guests. We are always looking for a night spot with good food, good service and good live entertainment for birthday celebrations. Needless to say, Museum Bar will not be one of them. I am thoroughly disappointed and agree with a previous critic when he said this establishment is "trying too hard to be what it's not." I am aware that no one is perfect, but the reservation mix-up could have been fixed with something as simple as a little thing called "customer care." The one star I gave was for the excellent customer service provided by the gracious and informative...
Read moreWe went to Believe this weekend for the first time for the Sikdope concert. It was so much fun and a great venue. Amazing lights and sound, really great staff and service. The bartender on the second floor (great gay guy- but didnt catch his name) was fabulous and so friendly.
I wanted to give five stars, but a couplet things held me back: -We decided to splurge and get VIP tickets (~$82 for 2) because it was my husband's birthday and we rarely go out anymore. In the advertising for VIP it was explained we would have access to 3 levels including a basement underground area with a second stage, exclusive mezzanine lounge, and plenty of comfy seating. Unfortunately, despite the advertising promising these thing- the basement second stage area was closed for a private event, the mezzanine lounge was closed (or non-existent) and there was almost no comfy seating after all the VIP sections were closed off for private bottle service parties (with a $2500 min purchase). We still enjoyed having access to the upper VIP area, but I don't it was worth paying 4x as much just to be able to climb stairs and stand on a balcony. The balcony however was a perfect place to watch the lights show.
Overall we had a great time- the lights were fantastic, the service great, the fire show super fun, the big balloons and confetti fun, the outdoor space very nice, the outdoor patio DJ was also fantastic and played some great mixes! We would suggest that more VIP seating be available to those who purchase VIP tickets, as that is promised (without having to purchase a private table w...
Read moreOn 31st of October going into 1st of November, it was Laidback Luke playing for Halloween night. Parking was easy, entering the venue was smooth. I wish he played longer, but still the music was great.
VIP section on the 2nd floor was comfortable and had a lot of room. I would say it was worth paying $10 more, as I get older I cant stay on the floors for the entire night.
Drinks were reasonably priced and the VIP section was highly guarded by a security. Good job.
Downstairs they were playing hiphop so you can go there to switch your music from the first floor, which was playing Electro.
Really one of the biggest venue that I ever been in Atlanta. Size like this is common in cities like Chicago/LA/NY, but I was surprised. Outside also had a small area with a DJ playing hiphop/pop and couple sofas.
That's 3 DJs and 5 bars that was open that night. (Some bars or areas look like they were closed, not a big deal. Makes it simpler.) There is a backdoor on the underground for people to head out quickly instead of climbing up the stairs. Outside area has a wall with Believe Music Hall signs on it where people can take pictures and post on social media. I thought this was a smart marketing on their aspect. Not a lot of clubs/venues do this.
I can tell that there is a lot of thoughts that went into this venue. The management seems to be awesome, workers were super friendly.
Wish there were more big name artists coming here, but I understand it might be costly. Will definitely be...
