Blick Art Materials — Attraction in Atlanta

I was really excited to visit this store because I’ve only ever shopped online. I have to tell you I was a bit disappointed. It’s in a very busy area downtown, and you do have to pay for parking. I will warn you, the parking lot is highly monitored, and if you don’t pay you will get a ticket. The few times that I have visited the store I always see an attendant ticketing cars in the lot across the street next to Dunkin’ Donuts. I don’t find the staff here to be overly helpful, and I can say with certainty there are a couple people who have very limited knowledge on certain products, which I found to be surprising for a specialty art store. I did have an experience during one of my visits where the associate who was “helping me” was very rude. There is another art supply store in the Atlanta metro area that I very much prefer. I've be going to this store for supplies since I started attending GSU. They have been nothing but helpful, over the phone, in person, shipping items to me, and curbside pickup. It's all been easy, and if I had a single issue I knew I could count on calling and getting it resolved quickly. They have great sales, and I usually always find something useful in the clearance corner. They also offer a student discount card which is great! 10/10 would reccomend, I wish I knew some of the helpful staff's name so I could put them here.

I will say the only thing to look out for at blick is if you've ordered a class list or a large order, double check and make sure you have everything! Sometimes they forget a piece of paper or somn small, but like i said earlier, I've never had an issue getting...

I love visiting this art store. It's in a great location in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. The staff is super cool and is always eager to assist and answer questions. Custom framing is a fairly new service for this store, and the options are massive. Sam is usually in the frame shop. He's awesome and so easy to chat with. Whether you're a beginner or experienced artist, this is the spot! I appreciate the value packs on wrapped canvases. During my last visit, I was assisted by an associate named Leni. She was so friendly and helpful. I also noticed some cool layout changes to this store. The store manager, Declan, is outstanding and leads an amazing team.
