My first time and as is this case in so many businesses these days , the owners choose to place someone on the front line that has zero personality and absolutely no manners . I hate it when I'm polite and the front line person , who is representative of the business itself , doesn't extend themselves , especially when you're trying the foods of a culture different from yours and taking your money as if that's all they really care about , without as much as a thank you . This is the type of place where most the customers are spanish/mexican. So you know it is good if that is who you see.
It is small and sometimes they dont speak a lot of english. I dont soeak spanish much, so I wish I could learn more about the other items on the menu because I dont know what they are, or if there were pictures or more of a description.
Often times I look at what other people have which all looks amazing but I dont know what they have.

Read moreI visited El Tacuate Mexican Restaurant in mid-April 2025. We decided to visit as it was near our hotel. The restaurant has indoor seating about 4 tables with chairs. The restaurant accepts both cash and card. But note if you pay via card there is a surcharge. My daughter ordered the chicken birria tacos. We decided to take out. My daughter said these were dry and tasteless. She was highly disappointed as the aroma from the food on the walk back to the hotel was memorizing. She didn’t finish them and decided to discard them.
