I normally love this meijer. Been shopping here for 3 years, but tonight I had the worst experience due to an extremely rude employee. I just got off a 14 hour shift of work and rushed to the store so I could get everything done before the store closed. I quickly got my groceries and stood in line at 11:45. There were only 3 of the long self checkout lanes open, and 2 were just occupied by people with a lot of stuff. I waited until the third one opened, but a man with just a few items jumped right in instead. I'm not one for confrontation so I let him go ahead. He finishes, but then the register has issues, so I am waiting for an employee to try and fix it. After about 5 minutes she says it's not going to be up and I need to choose another lane. I politely wait until one opens. I get almost all the way through with my groceries when an employee (middle aged woman probably 40-50 yrs old) comes and asks "can I help you?" I let her know I had just 7 items left to scan and I would be done quickly. She then tells me "I'm faster than you, I'm doing this" and starts scanning my stuff for me (mind you I bagged groceries for 2 years at a different grocery store so it's not like I'm slow by any means). She then bags all of my stuff as well (not double bagging bags of 2 liters of pop even though I have to walk up flights of stairs, so these will probably rip). She was forceful and not nice at all. I understand the store was closed, and you want to go home, but you could at least not be so mean to the last customer of the night who also wants nothing more than to go home. After it's all bagged she walks me out the door, and rudely yells at me since I was going towards one of the doors that was apparently closed for the night, which I didnt notice since I'm already flustered by her being so rude thus far. I've worked in customer service for the last 9 years and I would be embarrassed if I acted this way towards a customer. She ruined my night. I have never had any other bad interactions with any other employee here, and I am still shaken up at how unfriendly she was. I will think twice about coming here late at night again because of this...
Read moreIf I could give this store, or Meijer in general, negative stars, I would! Let me say what I have been dealing with... For THREE days now I have been waiting for my online grocery order. For TWO days i have sat on hold for more than FOUR hours waiting to speak to an actual human being only to finally get a number from customer service at the Auburn Hills store with another number that NO ONE answers and directs me to email customer care. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!
I understand we are all in a crisis right now but DO NOT advertise open time slots for grocery pick up, charge my card, and then keep me hanging for THREE days as to when and if my grocery order even makes it. I was supposed to do store pick up, however these random text messages I get from a number I cannot respond to keeps saying my "delivery" is being delayed yet again for the 100th time. The worst part is, I cannot get through to an actual human voice with a pulse to get any kind of assistance.
I have always supported Meijer stores but after this I am DONE, and will make sure everyone I know is aware of this horrible experience. It's bad enough I cannot leave my house, but today is my birthday of ALL days, and I have yet to be disappointed again by Meijer and their lack of human consideration or compassion! Now I get to spend my birthday today sitting around waiting to see if anyone from Meijer is actually going to contact me, deliver or Lord knows what is going on because you have to be home for a delivery. Way to waste my time and money
Thanks a lot for coming through during this time. Way...

I found a skirt amd a dress, which were both listed as being on clearance, but when I got to the register, they rang up for their regular prices. Even the cashier acknowledged that the store often doesn't update the pos, which is absolutely irritating, and a waste of a customer's time. I'll also add that, considering that it was Meijer, the cost of the clothes were ridiculously higher than I expected.
The second issue is their app, which doesn't always work or take my order. Also, it never shows all the items the store has available. Another problem I have is with their shoppers. I often have to use their drive-up/order pickup service, because of medical issues, but many times, I don't get the foods that I ordered--or even the substitute I select. I'm not even talking about hard-to-find or unusual items; I'm talking about basics like yogurt or cheese.
I can't say that I won't return, since it's one of the few options that are avaliable in this area...but I'll be doing more online ordering through other sites, which can offer lower prices and...
