Don’t get me wrong with 1* rating. Please read the review carefully in order to understand my rating. I will give 5/5 to the staff and the Doctor (Ruma) they are really good and know exactly what they are doing unlike their BILLING department who has been torturing and harassing me for past 6 months even after paying for everything. So here’s the story;
I did my root canal little over 6 months ago and after the treatment was done I did pay whatever deductible I owed so everything went smooth. Then comes the harassing/ billing department after 3 months saying oh you owe us $2000 because your insurance company did not approve the claim(BIG LIE). I had already received a statement from UHC with entire breakdown. So I called back EAA’s billing department in Dallas saying I have evidence from UHC that the amount was approved and a cheque was sent to EAA. And here is where the “magic” happens, the lad y on phone takes 10 seconds and says oh yes actually it was approved not sure why our “system” wasn’t reflecting that. So now I owe $0 along with confirmation email from their side saying I don’t owe anything. HOLD ON we are not done here..
3 months down the line I receive another notification saying, I owe $250. Again I had to reach out to this dumb people (BILLING DEPARTMENT) in Dallas I think who are working while partying. This time they said oh accidentally we deposited $250 to your account which I wasn’t even aware of at all. Who knows why they like playing this transaction game when my insurance company had clearly sent out statements of What I owe and what they paid.
Please hire better people in the billing department who understand numbers and don’t harass patients for months after treatment. Also take it as a warning, do not deposit/ withdraw any money from my account without my knowledge and once and for all please close...
Read moreI came into the office literally shaking with fear, and in excruciating pain. The Kind of pain that you can’t talk through, you can only try to breathe through until it passes. I was so afraid that the examination alone would be too painful to bear. But I needed help for my root pain. Every person in the office was kind, compassionate, and soothing in their demeanor. The office itself was well lit and nicely decorated which also help to put me at ease. After the examination, the doctor thoroughly explain to me why A root canal might not be the best choice, And that a tooth extraction may be the better route. With half my face already numb from Novacaine, it seemed like having the tooth pulled immediately would be the best choice. However, that takes a different type of oral surgeon. It was already quite late in the afternoon and my family dentist told me I’d have to wait 15 days until their oral surgeon was back in the office! There was no way I could live with that excruciating pain for 15 more days no less 15 more minutes. But the staff at EA of Austin immediately got on the phone and started calling around to find a place for me to get the surgery done that day. They succeeded and I am so grateful! One of the other things that I noticed was that the staff seemed to get along so well, And that also made me feel more comfortable during a time when I was in so much pain. If I could give EA of Austin 12 stars I would!! Thank you so much for helping...
Read moreThe staff was really nice, and the specialist who gave me the exam was a really awesome lady. I wish could remember her name. It’s so hard to find a genuine dentist to trust, and I mean trust! I saw three before I settled on one, but I was referred to see a specialist for a specific tooth. I went in here for a root canal, but it turned out my tooth had a vertical crack straight down to the root… she thoroughly explained to me my options, to do the root canal and waste a few thousand dollars, or extract it and get an implant. Because even doing the root canal and getting a crown, the tooth will fail and eventually have problems. So she suggested a really just invest that money into an implant for the long term. I kind of felt devastated for a second and started crying, especially after waiting to see her and going through all the tooth pain for nothing. Though, I appreciated her honesty so much, she could have just done the root canal to get the money and not make a big deal about the crack (which a lot of dentist would do unfortunately), and that meant a lot to me. She was so sympathetic and understanding! She even called my dentist to see if he could see me as soon as possible to get the tooth extracted and they set me up an appointment...
