Bainbridge Island Country Inn — Attraction in Bainbridge Island

I hesitated to give it five stars because the exhaust fan in the bathroom was so loud that one wouldn't want to use it when others were sleeping. Also the chemical cleaning smell was too strong. After a while, you stopped noticing it, but it gripped one's senses when you came in or walked past the front doors.

I think the complimentary breakfast was the best that we've encountered in many years of overnights around the Pacific Northwest. For instance, you could choose between boiled and scrambled eggs or have both. The sausage was tasty! You could cook a waffle or have oatmeal or cold cereal. And so on, lots of choices!

I brought k-cups because we are choosy about our coffee, but Lo! No Keurig! Never mind. After breakfast waiting for my wife to be ready, I brewed a cup of the provided coffee -- it was really quite good!

The staff was friendly and quick. Due to a neck injury and GERD, I have to sleep on an angle. When I went down to the office at bedtime, I was given 3 extra pillows

While the Comfort Inn is removed from the urban congestion, it is a block from Starbucks, Safeway and an excellent pizzeria, Western Pizza Company, I think. Best chicken Alfredo I've had in a while. You can take a morning walk in the nearby park.

For the price point, this was a great experience. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was (I kid you not) the most comfortable hotel bed I've laid in.

The snow and ice were not cleared off the stairs or walkway leading up to my room, making it dicey to come and go. However, I'm giving them a pass on this because the snow storm pretty much crippled the island when I was there and I was just fortunate that the staff was able to be there. If anything, I was extremely surprised and thankful that I stayed here. And I'll make sure to stay here again on my next visit...

We stayed at this motel 4 nights and will return to it next time we are in the area. The minor problem we had was tended to and handled nicely. The staff is great. The new manager is working hard to make things that needed to be worked on much better for the visitors. We have stayed there each time we have been in the area and watched it thru all phases of needing improvement to being a very pleasant place to stay.
