I can start by saying there were absolutely no Covid precautions taken. On the website it specifically states that there are health checks and a vaccination card/ negative test was required to enter the venue. Upon arrival no one checked any vaccine cards or upheld any Covid precautions. This is already a concern due to the fact that it is a large gathering during a pandemic. After entering the venue my boyfriend decided to grab a couple drinks from the bar INSIDE of the venu. He is of legal age and every drink he had was provided to him by the pavilion. About 30-40 minutes after arriving the security started following around my boyfriend and followed him into the bathroom. There was absolutely NO reason to be following him anywhere because he was not being disruptive. In the bathroom he ran into a stall and so then all of the security team pulled him out and started saying he was too drunk. He was doing nothing other than sitting there and he even walked a straight line when asked to do so. Even tho he was okay the security insisted on kicking him out. I found this absolutely disgusting because my boyfriend was doing nothing wrong and the security was targeting him specifically. I feel that he was targeted because there were many people around us that had drank wAy more and were literally throwing up on the ground but they only focused on my boyfriend who was sitting down quietly. To me , my friends, and everyone around us this seemed very weird because all of these white people were being loud and disorderly with no punishment, but my black boyfriend was being told he needs to be leave for sitting down. When I tried to speak to the security guards they just got mad and insisted I leave with him. The entire place was run extremely poorly . This situation led to your paying customers losing money and feeling discriminated against. I think it is very unfair that you sell drinks to people and then kick them out for drinking. I would understand if he was causing a scene but he was not . It doesn’t make any sense that a worker would serve someone alcohol if they look like they had too much to drink. I have multiple witnesses to these events and I will continue to reach out until I can speak to...
Read moreFood is expensive depending on the band (went to go see the deathcore band lorna shore with a friend). Water was 5 bucks! I understand beer being expensive but huh? During summer with festivals like the sad summer festival that venue can get hot and only the road accessible through one spot! So if someone dehydrates why! Otherwise its ok I'd imagine the high priced food, drink, and merch its because of the greedy Ticketmaster merch and tickets cuts they take from bands. The view is so pretty though! The slapback and reverb of music is kinda loud (especially seeing lorna shore it was really loud even in the back!) So bring earplugs if you go. 4/5 as
(Cons) expensive merch / food and drink due Ticketmaster greed, which is placed on bands not getting paid. And the fan suffers as they have to pay off Ticketmaster so no one has a good time No openers or local acts usually 5 DOLLAR WATER!!! 250 for a mosh pit! Loud Small and cramped
(Pros) Loud enough! Can bring lawn chairs Great view of the inner harbor Local food vendors Parking lot out front Walking distance from shops and restaurants Shorter bathroom lines?
Id go support Baltimore soundstage if you have too as they at least dont take merch cuts at least from what i remember even though they have ticket master so the band at least gets paid even if the drinks might be expensive and water is cheap there. Ticketmaster might suck total butt but (haha) they try to do better things with local and touring acts there.
Ottobar and metro Baltimore fka metro gallery is great tho!! There are a lot of diy and mom and pop venues in Baltimore that you should give your...
Read moreCame up from Richmond, VA, to attend the Behemoth, Lamb of God & Slayer concert. We travel all over the world for concerts. I would have to say this was by far the worst venue well maybe a close tie with the Baltimore Sound Stage. A major flaw to this venue is there is virtually no grading the height of the stage and the seats. It makes it very hard to see if you are a female at a male dominated concert and the average guy is 6 foot. The lighting is also crappy. The seats are crammed in worse than any economy class I have ever been in on a plane.
We had difficulty finding our seats. We walked around the back of the venue in hopes of finding a merch table. The merch table was located on the Mr. Trash Wheel side. Our tickets were Section 103 center, row J, seats 211 & 212. I approached venue staff to assist with finding our seats who was standing at section 102. They simply said that I needed to walk all the way around the back of the venue to the other side opposite of the dock. Staff never asked to see our tickets or ask where we were sitting. When we got to the other side I approached another staff member and he told us we would have to go back to the Mr. Trash Wheel side. When we mentioned we where just told that his answer was "you were told wrong." We walked back to section 205 and asked decided to ask a group of ladies working the venue and she took the time to lead us to the section we were supposed to be in. Very grateful to her assistance because I have a hip replacement at 40. I think I would have to really consider whether I would ever come back...
