I lived here for a little over a year and my rating is based primarily on three issues. When I moved out, I was billed $500 in damages that, in my opinion, were completely arbitrary. I was advised upon moving in that I could mount my tv without having to worry about paying for any damages...then I was billed for damages related to the tv mounting. Inexplicably, I was billed for "damages" to a stovetop that I used a handful times. I was billed for "cleaning costs" which again is just ridiculous after paying $2000+ a month for rent. These were very specific cleaning costs related to items such as the fridge and oven. Beyond these charges, the management was unwilling to make an concessions except "let me come clean the apartment". No thanks- I am not going to fly half way across the country to "clean an apartment". I have lived in several high-end buildings and I was quite frankly shocked to see these charges. I have never been charged "cleaning fees" or been billed for damages in such a way. The second issue is with the short-term apartments that Spinnaker Bay at Harbor East leases to companies like Execustay. I had the misfortune of living next to one of these apartments. I had several issues with the temporary visitors in this apartment being very loud. While the management always acknowledged my concerns, they, in my opinion, made no earnest effort to prevent it from happening again. My third issue is with the concierge/package desk which is constantly understaffed. Several times, I would go to pick up a package and there was simply no one at the desk. The concierges themselves were always great and this understaffing is a management problem. Baltimore is a very competitive scene for high-end apartments, so vote with your dollar and avoid Spinnaker Bay at...
Read moreI've been here for a year, and must say that front desk staff members who works here are friendly and polite. The rent isn't cheap, but considering all the perks, it's definitely worth it to live there. After moving in the previous year, I didn't take long to realize how much I adored the pool. The maintenance staff is quite quick to respond, and the apartment itself is really attractive and scenic.
My only gripe is that the lifeguards at the pool let the area around the pool get chaotic by not enforcing the rules strictly enough while people are there. Over the last weekend, I observed a number of children jumping in the water despite the fact that the pool specifically prohibits such behavior. The lifeguard did not provide a single warning to the children before they began jumping into the pool. I certainly expect parents and guardians to have a greater degree of control over their children, but as a lifeguard, my primary concern is their safety. I have to admit that this was rather upsetting for me. I really despise the fact that I have to write this section of the review because this is the SINGLE criticism I have.
This does not reflect poorly on the general employees, especially given how far they go to help tenants. They take care of problem whenever asked, and they do so without fail. I am grateful, especially given the sophisticated nature...
Read moreI gave 5 stars it is because I am very happy living here since I moved in on Nov 2, 2019. The Leasing Sales & Marketing Associates were very friendly and helpful to make my move into the apartment so easy. If I'd any questions, they are always there to assist as quickly as possible. Taylor Anspach has been wonderful and very helpful (especially her big smile) since the day I viewed the apartment for 1st time and then 2nd time and finally decided to rent this place. Also big thumb up to The Concierges are also very helpful and friendly too. But of course there were a few maintenance issues in my apartment after I'd moved in couple of weeks but the maintenance team resolved my issues within less than24hrs and also they are very helpful and friendly. BIG THUMB UP to all the team members at Spinnaker Bay at Harbor East. I am so glad I decided to move into...
