Bangor Mall — Attraction in Bangor

This place is a great walking facility for those that want a very dark indoor experience if the weather outside is bad out or it's the winter season other than that it's a dead mall. Yeah there is dicks sporting department but other then that as well as American eagle and a few random local stores it's not even worth your time to browse like way back in 2000 when they finally reopened their expansion to include such things as Victoria secret, Macy's, an eye clinic and a few eatery's but they have long since closed their doors and either completely left Bangor or moved to the Stillwater Ave shipping center.

They really need to do something with the lighting that detracts from the semiannual craft fair which makes the mall come to life. So many vendors that sell their wares at reasonable prices.

The parking lot as well as the drive around the mall is so bad that I even got a flat tire from driving there. You must keep a keen eye out for massive potholes that they just don't fix until it's the size of a 3' wide!

So I hope in the future v they revitalize these stores because the reason why they closed shop was initially due to online shipping but now I hear that you need to pay for the problems that the owners of the building should pay to fix.

Overall a great indoor walking facility, terrible lighting, and poor roads leads this place to be condemned. I mean just look at their inviting sign for Simon's Bangor mall on the corner of Hogan and Bangor mall Blvd. At least try to make it respectable but nope.

It would get zero stars if they stopped people from walking the dark...

Large Indoor Mall, unfortunately losing Tennant's over the past few years. Mall building contains a small food court, several clothing stores, vendor carts throughout the main section.

Some stores include Mainely Eyes, Game Stop, Bangor Pizza, Dairy Queen Grill, Bath and Body Works, Spencer's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Native American/South American Crafts, GNC, Sleep Number, Victoria's Secret, LensCrafters, J.C. Penny's, and others.

Mall also features a Customer Service Desk, Stroller Rentals, Ride-on-Stroller Animals for Rental, Vending Machines, Massage Chairs, USB power access areas, and arcade rides.

Mall has only 1 Restroom area located near the former Sears's Store.

Parking lot recently had new LED lighting installed, but the condition of the parking lot is extremely poor.

Outter surrounding Mall area include: Oriental Jade Restaurant, Chick-fil-A, Uno's, Hannaford Supermarket, Starbucks, Wendy's, Pizza Hut Wings Street, Best Buy, Comfort Inn, Key Bank, Laney Wellham Shoes, Staples, Books-A-Million, and Las Palapus Mexican Restaurant.

Recent losses include: Ruby Tuesday's, Build -A-Bear, Radio Shack, Macy's, Sears ( in closure,Tire Center will remain open), Pac-Sun, Bugaboo Creek Steak House, Arby's Restaurant, and several clothing stores.

Mall has no pet store, but Petco and PetSmart are...

As we all know, the Bangor Mall is not doing well currently. Growing up in Belfast, I always wished my family and I lived nearer to the mall. In fact, when it came time for my Sweet 16 birthday party, instead of a big shindig, I opted to just invite a few friends and have my mom bring us up to the mall and I remember that birthday so fondly. However, I was at the mall with my husband and service animal when we were approached by a couple of young people who informed us that animals were not allowed in the mall and we would have to leave. This violates federal law, maybe the kids that work there are not aware of this so maybe some training on service animals and what you are allowed to do and what you are not allowed to do as a business. I bring my dog everywhere I go! As this dog has saved me many times and I can't imagine what would happen if I didn't have him by my side. It's really sad to see the malls demise and walking around and seeing all the empty stores and a dozen or so customers milling around. Basically, I will never go to the mall again. It's time to do better People! All you would have had to do is watch my dog. He is half poodle and incredibly smart. He doesn't do his business inside at all and did not bark or act crazy. So sad that I have to leave...
