My husband decided to go into Zales to purchase a ring for me for our anniversary. The first associate we dealt with was wonderful, then we were brought to another associate and that's where it started going downhill. First off she charged us way more than what we were originally quoted. Then charged us for insurance (which was 200 dollars) that we didn't ask for nor made aware of. Then once we realized how much we were charged we came back to the store (withing the required 60 minutes to cancel) and was told once it was sent they couldn't cancel it which btw is completely untrue under 60 minutes. At which point she was closing (early I might add, saying that she didn't have enough associates due to 1 of the 3 going home sick, but I digress) so she said she would call management in the am and get it canceled and then text me on the outcome, which hasn't happened. I am not happy at all. I then got ahold of customer service online to which I was told that they couldn't cancel it because it was over the sixty minutes well not kidding considering that I had to wait until the next day to speak to anyone because I was lied to by the associate, but that they would send a message to management about the encounter and that they would be happy to cancel the order after the store receives my ring which I might add is 2 weeks from now. I will never EVER return to zales for any future purchases and I suggest no one else does either. They don't care about their customers, they just care about how much money they can get out of them.
UPDATE: After being told they could do nothing at the store, my husband then recieved a call and was told well now they will honor the 30 percent off that it was supposed to originally have and when he said no they said okay will fix it and call you back. It's been a week and two days and this morning my husband and i woke up to a second charge from them making our bank account go in the nnegative 900 dollars. When brought to zales attention again i was told that that charge will drop off(in 24 hrs mind you) and that i can start a return once it gets to the store!!! im beyond fed up with this business!
DO NOT BUY FROM ZALES THEY...
Read moreMy review is not a nice one. But it has now happened several times and I am getting extremely frustrated with the way you are doing business. I have my husband and I's wedding rings inspected every 6 months as I have lifetime coverage for damage, loss etc. I brought our rings in a couple months ago, to the Bangor Mall store, and they were inspected and I also had them sent to get shiny ( I forget the correct name for this). I got my ring back, but they told me there was an issue with my husbands ring and with my lifetime coverage, they could replace it. I told them to go ahead and do that. 2 more months go by, and I have not heard anything, so I called the store. The girl I spoke to told me that they can't send it out until I come in and do the paperwork. I told her that no one had told me I needed to come in and do any paperwork, they were just sending it out for replacement since I had already done the original paperwork. She apologized and again said I needed to come in and do the paperwork before they can send it out. We went in on Sunday, Sept 28 at noon, cause my husband looked up what time they open, so we would be there on time. We get inside the mall, and the gates are down, there are several people inside sitting around. We thought, maybe it isn't quite noon on their clock, so we waited a couple minutes. Nothing, so my husband goes up to the gate and they tell us, they are doing inventory and aren't opening for several hours. There are no signs indicating they are doing inventory, no notices at all! We drove over an hour to get there only to find this! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! If you are doing inventory, do it when your closed, not when your supposed to be open, and put signs up indicating that is happening. Preferably before the day your doing it so people are aware and don't waste their time AGAIN! Like I said, this is not the first time this has happened. Needless to say, the ring has yet to be sent out because we have not made it back to Bangor yet. I am extremely frustrated with how this is going, and hope something can be done...
Read moreMy husband stopped by this store on Monday to get my ring sent out and resized. Their system was down so the associate gave my husband a written piece of paper with their name, employee ID, my repair number and what the repair was. He was told I would get an email later that day with the confirmation of my repair. It has been two days and I have not received any email. I have also tried contacting them via phone number for two days and have called over 20 times and not once has it been answered. Then I go to the main zales website and am told the repair number we are given is not valid and they cannot find it under my name, email or phone number either. At this point Iâm beyond frustrated and worried that my ring has been misplaced, however I cannot find out for sure because they wonât answer their phones. I lived quite a ways away from this store as it is the only one in our state so I cannot just go to the store whenever I please. My husband had to make a trip specifically just to drop the ring off for the resizing. I have also had their Live Agents contact the store manager by email twice with the request to contact me via phone and I have no heard back at all. If you are going to take someoneâs wedding rings but your system is down, you should contact the person to let them know what is going on with their sentimental item instead of leaving them...
