I had a cracked screen on my iPhone 12 and located this company online to help with replacing the screen. They replaced the screen in 30 minutes and on pickup I noticed a popup message that appeared on the phone that indicated "Unknown Part", which they told me that the message would go away in 45 days, which I believed and later learned it was a lie. It was explained by and documented from Apple that the part installation was incomplete, replaced with a nongenuine part, or was installed on another iPhone previously.
Then, in 2 and 1/2 weeks, I started to notice a blue line that appeared on the screen.
I called and talked to JT manager / owner and he immediately accused me of causing damage to the screen, which I never caused any damage to the phone after the screen was replaced by iGSM Wireless. JT did not offer to do an inspection of the phone, only in his words that "you" must have caused damage to the phone. He asserted no evidence or ability to explain his justification for the blue line, only that he has been doing business for 20 years and that I caused the damage. I asked about the warranty policy, which he rudely begin reading it word for word and not letting me speak. JT is a very rude individual, and has no customer service skills, empathy, kindness or consideration for a dissatisfied customer.
After not making any progress over the phone, I offered to bring in the phone for him to inspect. He was not willing to do anything, so I figured it would be a wasted trip. On location at iGSM, I had the worse customer service experience of my lifetime. JT was at the service counter when I arrived and immediately upon greeting him and presenting the iPhone he started by accusing me of causing damage to the phone. I asked for him to explain and he stumbled to search for a few minutes trying to find damages to the screen, and then proceeded to point out an area on the phone to claim it was cracked, but no visible crack could found or damage to the phone could be found.
He did not offer to inspect the phone professionally and refused to do anything and told me that I can approach my credit card company to get a refund, and that he was not going to fix or give me a refund on the screen. Therefore, I left very frustrated and bewilderd with the blue line that they caused.
I figured that if the popup message was still on my iPhone I would consult "free of charge" with Apple Support to inspect the phone and explain the message that indicated "Unknown Part", as I mentioned above. Apple Support inspected the phone and concluded that the message was valid and that the Blue Line was caused from the screen replacement with iGSM Wireless. "Most likely it was not installed correctly or it was installed on a previous iPhone and was a recycled part". iPhone support said that the message would not go away in 45 days, which they claimed was a fraud statement for them to complete the transaction to...
Read moreTo be short: the lady who try to fix my IPhone Xs screen is impolite and unprofessional. The xs screen they provided is cheaper than other places but of worse quality than the original one. I end up leaving that place with my original phone screen with one more crack and several more scratches because the incautious replacement.
Hereâs the whole story: I went to the shop around 7:30 and ask them to change my iPhone XS screen. They said they should be able to finish before their closing at 8:00 p.m. 20mins later, I got the fixed one. But I realized the color is not as bright as the original screen and the distance between the screen and the edge are not the same as the original one. They first claim thatâs because I get a new screen. But I have to says these differences are something really easy to tell for those who use iphone every day. Then they says this is already the best screen they can get, if I want the original one I should go to Apple. I said then you should told me before you change the screen. They replied you didnât ask. If the things you provided would be different from the original one, shouldnât you tell your customer ahead? But the good thing is they said they can change the screen back if I am not satisfied. Then I start to test the function of the new screen. I find out the 3D touch didnât work. Starting from now, the lady, probably the shop ownerâs wife, start to yelling on the back saying we are about to close, I would change your screen back. After checking the 3D touchâs problem is not because of the software, the owner admits this specific screen is probably defected for the 3D touch. The lady still kept shouting at the back saying let me change things back and I should take the phone for apple to fix for more money. The shop owner is still patient but that lady is really rude. Yeah then I ask them to bring my original screen back to the phone. My original only have one crack comes from the top right corner. But this time it have one more crack from the bottom left. How unprofessional would the lady be for her to create one more crack for just taking the screen off? And I have to accept this because I really donât want the low quality and defected screen they provided. When I get home I find there are even a lot of adhesive left one the right. This lady must be really eager to left work and get back home.
I donât want be biased. The screen may be decent for the $169 price, but if it would be different from the original one this is something you should tell your customer beforehand. The shop owner looks indifferent but still patient. The lady who tried to replace the screen is just rude impatient and...
Read moreThese guys don't seem to have their intentions right. I got my wife's Lumia 920 screen repaired few weeks ago. To start with they left a smudge inside the screen and upon pointing it at the time of collecting my phone, they mentioned it'll take about 45 more mins to fix it. I decided to come later. In the meantime, because of my busy work schedule I couldn't go there for some time but talked to them and made sure I returned within the warranty period. During this time, just after few days of usage and for some reason unknown to my wife a small part of the top edge of the screen near the speaker got crushed into the phone. Apparently the glass rests on something and the thin glass above the speaker was not set properly and/or probably they used some low quality screen replacement. I asked them what did they use and they said the screen quality was fine and its probably because the phone was dropped (when the lady at the counter claimed they use OEM parts, she was promptly hushed by her colleague). Anyhow I asked them to simply remove the smudge which they had introduced earlier and had promised to fix. Now the guy said its just a 15mins thing (remember it was 45mins earlier) but since there is a chip the screen may get damaged further at that point. I guess the idea was to discourage me from getting it fixed again like earlier and hope I won't take them up on their offer of fixing it, which by the way nearly happened as well. After some back and forth, he took it and returned in six minutes claiming he had cleaned it but soon found himself that he had smudged it even more. I sent him back and this time while he cleared the smudge he did something even worse. The phone's screen now had one big line near the left edge running from top to bottom. When i pointed that out and requested him to fix it properly - he said that he's wasted a whole lot of his day already and he won't fix it anymore and probably this pixellation problem was there from before, as if one wouldn't have noticed it By then I had had enough. I wished them good luck and left the place with a phone having a poor quality, chipped screen with pixellation issues and wondering what the world...
