Bought Nordictrack 2450 commercial treadmill LY in April, it was all good until I called to have them come out and adjust the belt and replace console because it started to rust around speakers, if you sweat while working out this will happen to your treadmill as well (but they’ll try to say you spilled something). Their tech guy came out and replaced the console and adjusted the belt, next day I noticed console not working properly (elapsed time was not working) and belt shifted back ( I paid for labor). Called them back to have the tech guy come out and put my old console back. During this visit tech guys said he was noticing a noise related to motor, I wasn’t hearing it but trusted him since he is an “expert”. Next day treadmill started making LOUD vibrating noise and the whole thing was shaking, I knew something was not put back correctly but when I called I was told that the tech guy would not leave machine damaged. This was totally something new and they didn’t believe me. Tech guy came out to replace the motor couple of weeks later and the same noise was present. He also found a loose screw surprise surprise, maybe because you didn’t put it back correctly last time???
Anyways, they said they’ll work with Nordictrack to see if they can replace the unit since it’s still under warranty. I got a call from Jon coordinator saying I got two options: get my money refunded or have the unit replaced. I decided to go with the replacement of the unit. Didn’t hear anything until today once I emailed Jon and topfitness saying that I would like to get my money back since this is all taking way too long. Jon emailed back saying you can get store credit. SMH, they are legit playing some sick game. So after they broke my machine and provided the worse customer experience + now we are close to 2 months since original visit, you think I would want to buy something else from top...
Read moreI’ve had a Spirit elliptical on order since August and still don’t have it (now Christmas Day). I realize this is a unique year but I’ve been promised delivery multiple times and no one seems to know where it is or when it will arrive. I’ve contacted the store many times and always get referred to someone in Chicago; she’s been apologetic and says “2-3 more weeks” but I have zero confidence in that. I was originally promised delivery in September so take their delivery estimates with a grain of salt.
UPDATE 1/12/2021: The store owner gave me the name of the regional sales manager who said he would call me; never did. Jessica in Chicago left a message last week that maybe the product would arrive this week. At one time Jessica offered a “free upgrade” that was “in stock” - that never happened either. Oh well pretty soon my gym will open up....
UPDATE 1/19/2021: I finally received my elliptical today (Note, this was not a Precor brand product). Precor Home Fitness upgraded the product one level and are going to comp the deliver/setup fee, which is much appreciated. Although I feel like PHF could have done a better job of communicating with me during the past five months, probably the overseas manufacturer probably didn't communicate well with them either with respect to inventory/shipments to the U.S. It was an understandably extraordinary year for retailers - I've changed my review to 4 stars and would recommend...
Read moreBrian is the man! My wife and I headed to the Bellevue store to try to find a way to get a Precor machine in our home. We have a six month old and settled on an elliptical as the perfect way to work out during naps.
We wanted a Precor due to their reputation, but you also pay for the quality you get, this stuff is expensive! Brian took an hour out of his day to walk us through machines in store, and then easily another hour on the phone and texting with me and all of my wacky questions and thoughts.
Not once did I ever feel like we were speaking with a sales person. Brian even gave us his personal thought on a route we should go to get a machine in our home at a price point we could manage.
