I purchased 6 shirts (buy 3 get 1 free) in this store 2/5/25; later that day I noticed a flaw in the print on one of the shirts. I went back to the store 2/6/25 to exchange it. They charged me $3.33 plus tax because the replacement shirt rang up higher (19.99) instead of (16.99) the damaged shirt rang up on the day of purchase (the clerk said “It has something to do with the tax, I’m not sure why”). I’m sure it had something to do with the buy 3 get 1. I said “I shouldn’t be charged for a replacement”. She said “Well, that’s just the way it is”. I reluctantly paid the extra & informed the 8 people waiting to check out behind me what the problem was with the shirt. Cashier and supervisor are intellectually incompetent when dealing with the legalities of selling to minors. Cashier heard me say no to purchasing a toy to my daughter, yet still sold it to her when I left the register.

Some may say problem is with daughter not listening, but she got her consequences to deal with now. My fuss is they’re expecting minors to be legally competent to an agreement they aren’t of age to consent to. Also, the writing is in a location they can’t even see it.

The amount isn’t the problem, was only $8 and some change. Problem is she sold to a minor and expect legal adult consenting capabilities, full well knowing I said no to my child.

Their loss, I don’t plan to shop...

Being from Florida, I hold surf shops to a certain standard. This shop met all of the qualifications of a solid surf shop, minus the boards (it is the Gulf, no waves). Cool clothes, big hats, sunscreen. The shops are clean, cool, and great values for some great brands.

We stopped for some drinks, and some sun screen. We left with killer shorts, a bundle of tshirts and some sunscreen. We went back the next day for some more shirts, towels, and shorts. Very comfortable clothes, great value.

A must stop if you are on the gulf coast. I cant get the store jingle out of my head.....SURF STYLE, SURF...
