So, I never buy alcohol. But my brother asked me to get him some limited edition beer that was not sold obviously at a closer Binnys. So luckily, for him, this one is right across from my job. So, I went in and the customer service was fantastic. They had just received the shipment and they went to get the bottles (2 of them). Then I approach the register and silly me, since I never buy beer.. totally did not have my ID and I was asked for it. Big embarrassment. The associates here were nice enough to hold them for till the next day I was working which was 2 days. I showed up WITH MY ID and the manager was awesome all the way around. I'm glad they did not sell the alcohol to me regardless of my story that I had 2 days prior . The manager that I spoke to was Mike Major. He is definitely a great manager and has a great team team here in Bloomingdale. I totally understand policies and I'm happy that I came to this location to do business. I reccomend it all the way. And if you ever have a question or concern I'm pretty sure Mike will handle it perfectly the way he handled mine. Now if only every work place had a manager as understanding and with the sense of humor like Mike. "Note to self "- don't leave the house ever with out your DL or ID, you never know when you have to...
Read moreI would give this location 0 stars if I could. I spend a good amount of money here, especially before sporting and family events. I am a bourbon drinker and have a major concern when an allocated bourbon that is delivered, and I happen to be at the right time and right place, then told that my name has to be on a list to ensure that their local customers are taken care of. I am your local customer, I am actually down the street.
Why not be like everyone else or other binnys and have it as a first come, first serve situation? Why should I have to go to another Binnys across town to be treated fairly. I can't always come in when you put it out but I definitely don't expect my name to be called when you play those games. What are the minimum requirements for a local customer? I am sure it has to do with spend, and I am not sure if I would fit the criteria. I would also agree on management. Mike told me that getting back to customers on the list of names they are gathering is the least of their concerns and would not be getting completed any time soon. When asked over the next couple of days, the answer was probably not. Wow!...
Read moreI would give a zero if I could. Today they requested an ID from me and my spouse. I didn’t bring my wallet because he was purchasing it, he had his ID and it was for his camping trip. Apparently because I was carrying one case for him and set it on the counter they were required by “store policy” aka a dinky paper sign taped behind the register to card us both. We have literally done this every time we have gone in and never once has anyone even mentioned it. If one person shows valid ID I don’t understand why anyone else in the party needs to show anything as I’m not purchasing it. And for the record we are both well into our 30s and only getting two things of beer. I went on to the binnys site after trying to find this “policy” and it’s not listed anywhere. Will NOT be returning to this location again, you’ve lost a customer and I’ll be sure to let everyone else in the area know how ridiculous...
