If you're a Chick-Fil-A fanatic like most people, you'll love this story my mom just shared with me tonight! I was bummed when back in 2013 one of my favorite restaurants, Applebees, decided to close their doors for good. It was one of the few restaurants where I had a great meal every visit. Their Triple Chocolate Meltdown is to die for! In 2015, we got the most amazing news that a Chick-Fil-A was going to take it's place! We've seen the memes that say the whole country would be tested for Covid-19 by midnight if Chick-Fil-A was running the drive-thru centers, lol. Chick-Fil-A's service is par excellence no matter which location I've been to around the country. And during this pandemic some would consider them "front line workers". So tonight, my mom was craving Chick-Fil-A since they've mostly been eating from home during the pandemic. She got dressed and went to the Chick-Fil-A that we've been going to for the past 5 years and getting excellent food and customer service. By the time she got there, it had started raining. The drive-thru was packed and she knew my dad was waiting to eat so she didn't want to wait since my dad has diabetes and needs to take his meds and eat on time. She parked in the handicap parking and put up her tag in the rearview mirror. She got out of the car with her cane, but before she could make it to the door, an employee comes out and greets her and says the lobby is closed and for my mom to go ahead and get back in her. She then asks my mom for her order and my mom gives her the list and tells her that she has some coupons and rewards she wants to redeem as well. The girl tells my mom to sit tight in the car. The girl then goes in and puts in my mom's order and and then runs back, in the rain, to my mom's car and gives her the food and asks her to check and make sure everything is in there. My mom checks and says yes, and then goes to hand the girl her credit card, but the girl says, don't worry about it, it's on us! My mom was shocked and asks are you sure, and the girl says yes, and asks my mom if she's sure she doesn't need anything else. My mom thought there must be some sort of promotion or something since Chick-Fil-A is always giving away free stuff. She thanked the girl and went home. When she told me what happened, and that my dad was convinced there was some mistake and was going to go back and pay, I called to see what promotion was going on. A girl answered the phone and it turned out to be the same girl who helped my mom! She explained to me how she saw my mom with the cane and walking in the rain so she ran out to tell her to just stay in the car and decided to take care of the bill because my mom was so sweet and to make things easier for my mom so she could be on her way...wow. We usually take things for granted when things go right and are quick to complain when things go wrong. I didn't want to miss this opportunity to thank Zoe for her kindness and customer service in taking care of my mom. It's hard to find this kind of care, service, and compassion nowadays. Thank you Zoe! And thanks Chick-Fil-A. If you're ever in the Bloomingdale area, please stop by Chick-Fil-A and give Zoe and her team your business, a smile, and a sincere thank you! The Manager...
Read moreI am not gonna be back ever again! Worst customer service ever!!! I wanted to use my Chick-fil-A card, at first they told me that I can't because their computer is not reading it because of the scratch (which I couldn't see). I asked if I can get a replacement then, they called evening manager... the manager came to tell me that there is no money on the card and she has to discard my card. I told her that I want my card back then, she refused to give it back to me, even though I never use it!! She took away my card and she started to argue with me asking me why I want it back. I told her that I want it back because I have money on it and since I can't use it in this location, I want to get my card back. The manager told me that she won't give me my card back because she has to discard it. My question is why she has to take it if I NEVER USE IT? On the top of this I ordered one of the salads without a chicken, I got home only to find out that there is chicken on it!! I had to drive 10 min from my house to return it. The same manager with who I was dealing earlier was very rude and she did not even apologized for their mistake. When I finally got my refund and I said "thank you" the manger just said "my pleasure" with a fake smile on her face. Miss Manager if you have a bad day, clock out and come back when you are in mood to work. You guys have the best potato waffle fries, but you not gonna see...
Read moreI love chicken. I especially enjoy real chicken. I also enjoy stellar customer service. After going to this Chick-fil-a location several times, I noticed that they do both very well. I was especially impressed with the manager, Jessica, who was genuinely kind and generous. We dined it the day we were serviced by Jessica, and waited about 5 min more than usual. We aren't timing our service everywhere we go, so we didn't think much of the wait. We were busy talking with my son and coloring. When Jessica arrived with our food, she personally apologized for the wait (again, we didn't feel like we waited much) and she gave us coupons for waiting. I was completely taken back. She wasn't doing it for points, or to over compensate, but you clearly saw that she didn't like that we waited and wanted us to feel valued. Guess what? I sure as heck felt valued and so did my son. We were very grateful. What was even better was that she is a manager there, which means she adds value to this location and she sets the standard for her crew. She wasn't just being kind to the customers, but she was also kind to her staff. We noticed that too. Will I be returning? Yes! Was the sandwich delicious? Yes!! Will this location stand out than any other one? Yes! I strongly recommend it! AND my son...
