I am writing as a drop in member of Invictus. My hubs is a cross fit guy and it’s a great way for us to spend some time together getting strong and staying fit. We are both in our 50’s. I’ve been watching from a far for several years as my husband has been physically transformed by his training at XFit Invictus. He is literally adding years to his life by taking charge of his fitness and the coaches and other members are so supportive and engaging in helping that happen. It’s a place where all you have to do is step in the door and work the program to the best of YOUR ability. If you are consistent….you will see results. The community is such that you want to come back over and over again.
Personally, I find Invictus to be a very special place. The owners are always on hand and very engaged with everyone at the box. This culture clearly trickles down because I’ve found everyone to be very friendly and supportive from elite athletes to beginners. The thing I truly didn’t understand about xfit before taking a few classes was that it can be scaled for EVERYONE! Your starting point DOES NOT MATTER! I’ve never feel judged (except maybe by myself) by anyone involved. It’s all encouragement and support. If you are looking for structure, guidance and coaches that are excited about fitness, their jobs and helping you grab hold of your health then take a class at Invictus! You won’t regret it….well maybe except for some Muscle soreness but that comes with...
Read moreI was referred to Crossfit generally by a friend who suggested to me it helped them improve their long distance run times. If you love exercise and live in Boston, Invictus Boston is not to be missed. There are classes constantly running and exceptional coaches; the team shows genuine interest in what improvements you want to make in your own health and wellness. If you have not been to a gym before, listen well to the coaches' warnings with required to which weights to use. The workouts themselves, without weights, can be exhausting for new folks. The coaches are very skilled at scaling workouts for new people, you just ask for help and they help! The turn around on body strength was less than 2 weeks for me. Anyone who wants to gain strength and prevent injury should consider Invictus Boston. Exceptional coaches include Justin B, Bern, Christiana, Luke, Mia, Nate & Heidi. Oh yes - it is noteworthy that the members themselves are very kind and they truly want to help each other improve. The expenses at CFit Invictus Boston can seem like a lot but from my experience it is worth it. Money well...
Read moreBefore joining Invictus I had not been in a gym in years and was unhappy with the shape I was in. I thought it would be intimidating going in there for the first time, but it couldn't be further from the truth. From the coaches to other members and even the owner, it has continued to be a welcoming place for people of all skill levels to workout, and I am grateful for how they've helped shape my fitness. I've now been there for 7 years and couldn't imagine going...
