I typically don’t waste my time leaving reviews when I’ve had a negative experience, however, I went in today knowing exactly which boot I wanted to buy. Had some questions before committing to purchasing the boots from Christy’s Boulder. I wanted to have a local shop to turn to for possible “tweakments” during the break in process. Maybe I got a fitter on an off day, I doubt it… I was completely unimpressed with his lack of understanding, overall condescending attitude and making me feel like I don’t know my feet and how that translates in boots for my ski ability. I have been to other Christy’s and the boot fitters were consistent with their assessment, cautious of hardware I have in my ankle, and agreed I shouldn’t be placed in anything lower than a 100mm last. The fitter today not only kept pushing for a LV boot, but was insistent on putting me in a full size down after I mentioned multiple times that it is not an option for me. I am not a ski racer and I’d like to not feel like I have to amputate my feet by the end of each ski day. “Well, you gotta sacrifice comfort for performance.” Subpar feedback from a below average boot fitter. I’ve been skiing in a stiff boot for many years now and haven't had to “sacrifice comfort for performance.” Honestly surprised he didn’t place me in a soft flexing boot and ask me what color I’d like. Must be incredibly odd for this dude to have a female come into the store knowing what she’s talking about. I was willing to pay whatever it costs to walk out with a boot that I felt good in, and the only thing he sold me on was never doing business here.
I understand that these shops get a lot of customers who may not take skiing seriously. however, that shouldn’t take away from those...
Read moreI had an awesome experience I would like to share. First trip ever to Colorado skiing. I rented from Christy's in Boulder and they had great service getting me set up. I enjoyed my weekend at Breckenridge and Keystone and drove to my Denver Air B&B on Sunday. Little did I know about "mountain traffic". I left at 3PM thinking I had plenty of time to get my rental back to Christy's before close at 6PM. I was way off! I was in bumper to bumper traffic for hours. I called Christy's and got a hold of Eddy Roy at the Boulder location where I rented. We discussed my options and one was to go back to Dillon by 7PM however I could not exit for 21 miles. We waited until closer to close @ 6PM to see if I could make it. I called Eddy back as I had no options to make any Christy's by close and needed to be to the airport by 8AM the next morning. I talked to him about the risk of leaving them at the front or back door and he advised against it. Then he offered to bring them in personally if I could drop them off at his house! During our discussion we learned that my Air B&B was close to his residence. I would have never expected that and he saved me a ton of stress and risk leaving them by the front door the next AM! I want to personally thank Eddy Roy for his customer service and going the extra mile to help a customer out in need! He is an amazing employee with customer service in mind and I wish I had many like him at my place of business! I would recommend Christy's to anyone, anytime. Especially the Boulder store under Eddy's management! Thank you again Eddy! You're the best!

Read moreAmazing experience with this store and with an employee in the ski department, Evan. I had bought a pair of K2 ski boots in December 2023 and they were pretty expensive but I'm glad I went through Christy's in Boulder instead of trying to save a few bucks online because Christy's took a lot of time to fit my foot, try different boots, and heat mold the liners at the time of purchase. Then, in February 2025 my liner broke, the tongue ripped off when I pulled up on it. I went back to Christy's and Evan helped me out, filled out a warranty claim, and then went way above and beyond by finding an extra pair of liners he had in the back and he gave them to me for free so I could get back out skiing again. But that's not all. He heat molded the new liners to my feet, and then he heat molded the boot shells too in order to address my overall issue which is that my feet were hurting in the boots, they felt like they were being crushed. Well with the new liners and the newly molded boot shells, I hit the slopes last weekend at Breckenridge and not only was I skiing again thanks to Evan, but my feet didn't hurt anymore either. And did I mention all of this follow up work was free? Suddenly the price I paid for those boots 15 months ago felt like a much better deal than it did at the time of purchase. Do not waste time with other options, do not fret about the exact $ amount too much, what really counts is having someone on your side when things go wrong, so go straight to Christy's, they take care of their customers and they...
