Branson, Missouri is known as a place for family entertainment. The small town overflows with resorts, amusement parks, mini golf, and more. But the entertainment that is most associated with Branson is live performances and one of the best of the live shows is the Baldknobbers.

The Baldknobbers feature a variety of entertainment. The Mabe family has been singing, dancing, and entertaining guests for more than 50 years and several generations have graced the stage with their talents. They place they perform and where I saw them is the Branson Famous Theater. This venue holds a few hundred people with an elevated stage so that you can easily watch the show without any problem, regardless of where you are seated.

A Baldknobbers show includes comedy but it is more about singing than anything else. The music is mostly country, but there is also a little bit of gospel and some pop music as well. Each family member sings well and the musicianship is even better. I’m not a huge fan of country music, but it didn’t matter. The singing, dancing, and musicianship is good all- around and with the added comedy, you get a full two hours of fun, laughs, and good times.

If you get thirsty or hungry, the Baldknobbers have snacks and soft drinks available, as well as merchandise to keep the memories alive long after the curtain is drawn. It’s a very good show and family- friendly from start to finish. It belongs on every travelers list of things to do while in this Missouri...

We had a good time at the Baldknobbers show. The opening act was a comedian, not great but not a big deal. He seemed like a nice man and his material was clean and family-friendly, but the jokes were old. We had heard them years ago and the act seemed a little worn out. Plus it was in front of a tough crowd. They were a little.... stale. The music was great, the artists were extremely talented. They played a variety of music, country, pop, and classic rock. Then the 2nd half was Christmas. I don't care for the variety of pop and rock, but that's just my taste. I miss the simple Branson/ Ozarks country show... I don't need the lights, smoke, and all that. But others seemed to enjoy it. Maybe that's what they have to do to sell tickets. 🤔 so ok. We bought our tickets through the area application event but usually buy from Branson 1/2 price store. Given the price, the show was well worth the money! The in-show comedy was good and family-friendly and we enjoyed it. Tribute to veterans and the USA is always a plus for me. The musicians were so talented as well as the singers. They are moving next year to share a theater with another show. Sounds like they are excited about the move. The MC was friendly, the staff was friendly and the place was clean. I recommend a visit if you get your tickets from Branson 1/2 price... it is a decent show...
