Having seen this group three times, we looked forward to the show. Previous shows were a blast - musical talent, personalities, showmanship, humor - really great shows and packed theater. Same experience for others we know that have seen SIX. This time, not so much. Something, including the pitch for a couple of the guys, was off all evening. Same, now tired, jokes as years ago - music that pre-dated probably half the audience (multiple Andy Williams songs, really?) an unfortunate and unnecessary political comment, and, frankly, a tired acting group of brothers that have a ton of talent that wasn't displayed. Not only was there a feeling they were going through the motions without much interest in being there, but there was nothing fresh about the show from years ago other than maybe a handful of songs. Maybe they are just going through the motions until they can be done for good, who knows. If they intend to continue for the foreseeable future, they need a fresh show and a rejuvenated approach. The main audience they played for 10-15 years ago is gone. We've recommended this show to many people that make the trip to Branson, but wouldn't feel comfortable doing that now. Maybe that is why the theater was mostly empty. Just really disappointing...they can be so...
Read moreA band of brothers that showed quite a bit of musical talent. Unique. Unfortunately I felt a lack of heart and energy in their performance to a barely awake audience that in total filled the first 5-6 rows. Sad. The show needs revamped and… how do I say this kindly: for the love of all that is holy, ditch the worn black skinny jeans and tight T shirts that do not flatter any of your physiques on stage. Gross! As a female, I found that look soooo distracting on a group of mature, professional men. That “look” does not fit in with your identity, does not elevate the performance, but in fact it cheapens it. You are better than that. Packaging matters more than you think, not just about talent. I left underwhelmed, with images of bull-legged cowboys and spiked hair, not able to recall any song in particular that wow’d me but for the brother Chris’s act who served. Some songs were good, some were off but nothing that would make we want to come back, which over shadowed the fact that there was a great unique talent there by making music with vocals. Money not well spent....
Read moreWe have seen Six twice. The first time in Aug 2021 and again this year (Aug 2022).
In 2021, the singers were tight, the songs well re-hearsed and their voices strong. The show was excellent.
This year was a bit uneven. The show was still good, but it was clear they were not as tight as they had been, except on their new numbers. They did a Beatles segment which was great, an and outstanding new set they called “barber rock”, a mashup of barbershop style with songs by KISS, Def Leopard, Ac/Dc, Beastie Boys and Twisted Sister. that segment was tight and absolutely outstanding. Creative, tight well executed harmonies for me it was the highlight of the show.
Several of the brothers were straining their ranges and sounding hoarse during some of the songs. The finale “hello darkness my old friend”, just didn’t come off that well and felt strained.
Overall a great entertaining show but the boys need to tighten up and take care of...
