Wow. I love this place. Here is why you will too:
When you walk in there is a lot of products to look at. It is easy to skim everything and miss everything all at the same time. I would recommend slowing down and really taking in the details of what is in the store. They have something for everyone, check out what I bought in the last photo.
Really awesome art supply section. If you are looking to try new mediums and tools they have it here. Check out the Japanese paper!
Super kind staff. I had a great conversation with the staff and they were actually engaged with the conversation we were having. Nice to walk into a place you have never been and connect with people.
Wide selection of cooking an utility knives! And that's just cool.
Worth stopping in, I bet you will walk out with some sort of treat for yourself. If you plan to return they have a rewards program too.
Check out my photos to get a sense...

From memory, there are things from Japan, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Portugal and many more. The staff are also impressively well-versed on the products they carry and explaining how they work. A great place to find a unique gift or something special for yourself. Many shops like this are ludicrously over-priced, but the Boston General Store is actually pretty reasonable which is what makes me a...
