Docent brewing, to my knowledge, originated in the orange county area. This location must be on the somewhat newer side. I was first made aware of this brewery after dropping somebody off in the area. This is my second time being here and felt super compelled to leave a positive review. I must say, the vibes are immaculate! The track selection of smooth groovy beats play subtly on a decent recessed sounds system in the ceiling while I casually sip on the breweryâs most distinguished IPA âOurglassâ and of course they serve it to you in such regal glasses. Wow. Secondly, I love a brewery with such a small intimate ambiance where everyone is welcome, there are kids and dogs playing on the patio, In an establishment that feels so home-y. The demographic here is everything youâd expect a Carlsbad IPA connoisseur to look likeđ but hey, no complaints. I will most likely be back to this brewery in the near future. Side note: I didnât try the food, but they also have some light appetizers and simple entrees from a kitchen in the back from what it looks like and everything looks pretty decent! or should I...
Read moreVisited the brewery for the first time over the weekend and arrived around 1230. There were people there, but there were also a lot of seating on the outside patio, which dogs are also allowed. Loved the food choices. They had as we got smash burgers, and a Kimchee taco, which was delightful. Went with a group of about eight people and had no problem. Getting a nice table to sit out and really enjoyed my flight of beers. They also serve wine there, But if you like a good beer, this has a great selection and is a great spot with ample seating, kid and dog friendly and the my have the good fries đ„° And there is parking located across the street and it's a little away from the downtown Village area so it was easy to find parking as well. Would...
Read moreBeer was good, but not family-friendly. We were harassed about having our kids multiple times. We were enjoying the space and clearly watching out for the kids, ensuring they were well-behaved. The bartender was clearly annoyed that we even had kids in the brewery and said rude things to our kids and to our family more than three times. We had planned to spend many hours enjoying good beer and food here, but we quickly departed once we finished our first round. Visit Pizza Port, located around the corner, or Pure, nearby, for excellent beer and family-friendly service. Don't waste your...
