This farmers market offers an eclectic mix of local farm grown vegetables and products made from those vegetables.
All the vendors here are friendly, service oriented, and quite knowledgeable about farm raised products. The one that stood out to me the most was Spreadable Delights, which is a one woman operation selling homemade James, jellies, and desserts, along with healing rubs, relishes, and salsas.
I had a good time talking to the woman who runs Spreadable Delights, so much so that she let me shoot a promo video for her, which you can see below. She didn't seem very technologically savvy, so it was the least I could do since she let me sample her products for free. LOL
I particularly like the dessert specialty, which is bean pie, a sweet pie similar to a pumpkin or sweet potato pie, except that it's made of navy beans. Apparently that gives it less sugar and more fiber than a traditional pumpkin or sweet potato pie, so it's healthier without sacrificing taste.
I tried it warm with vanilla ice cream on top, and it was lip smacking good. 🤤
Get there early, because the bean pies and healing rubs sell out fast, but if you tell the Spreadable Delights lady that you want some after she sells out, she'll consider it a pre-order for the next week.
I give the Downtown Cary Farmers Market my seal of approval, especially the Spreadable Delights vendor....

The park is bustling with family’s, dogs, and fun games that are provided by the town. We saw foosball, table tennis, mini golf, frisbee, and footballs being tossed around.
The little pond in the center is fun and the kids park was super unique and quite large!
