Chocolate Smiles — Attraction in Cary

My mother-in-law and I stopped in yesterday, craving something sweet. The first time either of us had ever been there. The lady that greeted us was very sweet very helpful and gave us time to look around on our own, but also let us know because it was our first time in there that we got a free sample of fudge ( which was delicious!) They had a very good selection of chocolates and usually each item had different chocolate options ( like white chocolate turtles, milk chocolate turtles, dark chocolate turtles... You get the point) one of the things I ended up getting was it dark chocolate covered orange peel which was so so good! I'm going back again for sure. They have lost a customer. Today I was in a kind of people waiting for service to just get in to their store. This is a small store and they were only letting a few people in at a time and I get that but the lady in front of me was outside for an hour and still hadn’t gotten inside the store. Even one lady who arrived and had placed an online order was told they couldn’t find her order and could she come back late. So they were short staffed but how can it take an hour to wait on 4 people in the store when there is a long line outside? I was not the only person who left. Great chocolate! I discovered Chocolate Smiles 3 years ago and have made it my annual pre-Easter splurge. I'm never disappointed and I've purchased a wide variety of chocolate and non-chocolate treats. The staff pack everything up carefully to ensure it's not damaged. This year I bought a white chocolate egg filled with chocolate truffles and jelly beans which the owner wrapped in bubble wrap for me when she heard I had to transport it over 3 hrs. I highly suggest trying the Western NY chocolate which is orange flavored milk chocolate. Although I'm usually a dark chocolate freak, being from Western NY I had to try it and I'm hooked.
