PayMore - Buy, Sell & Trade Electronics — Local services in Cary

I went because they advertise that they pay more for electronics which is totally a lie I’m not going to get much into to it that would take all day long long story short I brought in an item to see what I could get for it but mind you before I brought it there I went to a local pawn shop first to see what they would offer $300 is what the pawnshop offered and told me I could get more if I put it online and sell it myself needless to say I went to PAYMORE - Cash for Electronics because they advertised they pay more then anyone else the gentleman was nice from the beginning so the item that he looked at that I took to the pawnshop he offered me $100 so I told him no I’ll keep my item and that I was offered more elsewhere he called me a liar and said that if I called the pawnshop and put my phone on speaker to prove that they offered me $300 that he would beat it so I asked if I call and its true what will you offer he goes just call first and a snide way so I called and prove that I was offered $300 so he come at me and says I’ll give you $305 And that’s me buying it at a loss so I say no I’ll take it with me at that point he starts to get upset as if I’m obligated to sell my belongings he’s a fast talking liar your in business to make money not to lose it for some reason he thought I was in dire need of a few dollars was not the case I simply wanted to get rid of electronics that I no longer had a use for but that doesn’t mean I was giving them alway so once I started to repack my equipment he decided he wanted to help me trying to rush me out of his store I say all this to say you’ll get more at a pawnshop then these guys offer...

Very nice staff, only issue I have is I drove an hour after calling them because they said to come on down and they'd give me a good offer on my laptop as no estimates can be given over the phone (understandably). Well even though their website says they'll give a top dollar offer, they gave me the lowest quote I got from 4 total places. About $530 being the highest from another company compared to $400 which is what they offered, much lower than a few other quotes I got. Not sure if maybe I was supposed to tell them that, but it seemed like they wouldn't budge. Someone there did explain the process to me how they make money, so I do understand why they couldn't meet what I wanted due to comparing prices it sold for elsewhere, not to mention it was a laptop I bought in April that was manufactured in 2021, but the fact I had to drive that far, thinking I would get the best offer compared to other quotes I got, then being given the lowest by over $100, was overall a frustrating experience due to me driving that far, after being told i'd get a good offer.
