I go to this store because it's the closest one within 60 miles but unfortunately its proven time and time again that this location is not where you want to go to do business. We were remodeling our house and bought our materials from this store and dropped over $50,000 CASH for building materials which included new cabinets, counter tops, windows, siding, flooring, refrigerator, washer, dryer, stove... it was a nightmare dealing with the management, here. I spoke with two managers from different departments. It took 3 months to finally get some of the items because they kept getting damaged in shipment which ive come to find out in talking with others that damaged equiment is the norm for this place. I'm not sure what the problem is with their shipping but I ended up canceling the washer and dryer after the washer hadn't arrived after 12 weeks of waiting. Two of the cabinets were damaged with big chunks of wood broken off, Im talking 1" x 3" pieces in visable areas. The siding looked like it had been dropped on the corner because the corners were broken off, the flooring had been dropped on the corner and 3 boxes of it were damaged to the point we couldnt even use them and had to order more. Their delivery people didn't know how to get the refrigerator through my door and said they were going to have to take it back to the store. I had to tell them to take the handles off the doors to fit it through. It was nothing but one problem after another and when I sent the store manager photos of all the damaged materials, he said he could give me a $250 refund. A $50,000 cash purchase with broken and or damaged materials/items and that's the best they could do. $250 wouldnt have covered one single item, let alone all of it. Read moreTwo stars because we're holding out hope! Went to Home Depot in Cedar City and found a small patio set for my husband for fathers day. It turns out that it was out of stock but I was assured that two were on the truck due for the next day, so I purchased one. I was told to come back in two days so they had time to get it through their receiving process. I went back in two days and was told it had to be pulled and to come back in an hour. After about 15 minutes they called me and said that they had pulled the box and it was damaged. I asked about the other one (they had 2 coming) and they said it was sold to somebody else; I couldn't have it. I was then told that there should be 4 more coming two days from then. They would have one with my name on it. Well, I went back today to pick it up and after the young lady searched her computer for several minutes, I was told at the service desk to come back in an hour so it could be pulled. I was given directions on where to go to get it loaded, and how the process worked. When I returned, I was greeted by a supervisor who told me that they were out of stock, and would not tell me how long they had been out of stock. She said that they are expecting four more, but not for at least 2 weeks, and there was nothing she could do. So now the money is spent and my husband will get a photo on fathers day of what might be coming in a couple weeks, maybe? Very poor customer service. Read moreI used to shop at Home Depot all the time and loved it! However, in the last few years the store has really gone down hill. While we have had some problems in the last couple of years, our most recent experience was the worst. I ordered a shed over then phone to be picked up in store. (The availability was unknown so I called the store). I paid for the shed and went to pick it up. I live about 100 miles away from the nearest store, so it’s quite a trip. Since the shed was supposed to be in multiple boxes I was shocked to get there and find a single decrepit, broken down box. I was told customer service was supposed to contact me about it the night before. They didn’t contact me that night nor the next morning, before I drove all the way there. The box was as shown in the picture. Customer service didn’t know what pieces were there or what was missing. They wanted to give me a $50 discount on an $950 purchase to make up for it! What am I supposed to do with half a shed kit? I was refunded the whole purchase price, but I’m still upset that no one told about the shed being in such bad shape. Apparently it was a customer order that was never picked up from a year ago and had been sitting out in the weather, before being moved to the junk pile to go to the trash.
