Awful customer service. What year is it? A store with an outdated and judgemental approach.
All the other negative reviews here are accurate. Can't say I'm shocked to see that others have the same experience as myself. For goodness sake they are even being downright negative and acting like a petulant child when someone provides a hint criticism. Learn to take it and look inwards. You might make some added business from it. Or at the very least not publicly prove everyone's point.
The funny fact being that my grandparents bought furniture years ago. That seems to track with a preferred clientele and archaic approach.
Came in here over the weekend looking to buy some barstools (and likely sofa and chair).
Immediately a sales woman came up to me and asked what kind of stool I was looking for. I smiled and said I have some ideas but I will let her know if I need any help.
She proceeded to come up to me not long after, and asked me more questions. All I wanted to do was look at the stools and not be bothered. She asked if I was looking for a stool-based off a countertop, and I politely said this is for a patio. She then told me that these are not patio chairs. I told her this is for a sunroom. At this point I have been pestered three times now. I said thank you, I will let you know if I have any questions.
Immediately after, the person who I presume to be the owner of the store, came up and asked " what's the problem?"
I stated " the easiest way to get me out of here is to keep asking me questions and I have stated already that "I will come to the salesperson when I have questions."
The owner then told me " you don't know anything, that's why we need to ask you questions!" Excuse me? I don't know what I'm looking for? You are so smart with your unwavering knowledge of furniture 🙄. God, imagine working for this guy! Probably a pretty toxic environment.
I then said I would just like to look at the items and not be bothered. The owner then proceeded to suggest I leave because we "would not do business well together," and almost threatened to call the police.
I simply stated " are you kidding me? I would just like to look at the merchandise and not be bothered." The staff eventually left me alone, as I observed the merchandise. Some of which I liked quite a bit. But after mulling it over, I decided I simply cannot give them my business or recommendation.
This place needs a serious revamp of customer service and look in the mirror.
The vast majority of my reviews are positive, I cannot give this place enough of a negative review.
Stay away unless you like to be hounded by people that are trying to sell you something and outright assume you are an idiot, or poor based on age or appearance. I've had better experiences with car salesmen.
Took my business to Arhaus. There was no pressure, and no judgement. They treated every customer the same and met people where they were...
Read moreJust had a horrible experience here. One of the salesmen was INCREDIBLY rude. We came in looking to purchase a living room set. We brought our two young children with us (ages 5 and 3). We were looking at a power recliner set. My 5 year old son was attempting to push in one of the recliner sets (not to just play with it but legitimately trying to close it) but it was caught on the loveseat that was out. One of the salesmen VERY rudely came up and literally told us that “if we couldn’t control our children to leave and this isn’t a playground..that is a $2500 set and I would rather you leave than damage it.” Wow. I understand that he saw what was happening before us, but he literally caught it a second before us and it was nowhere near breaking. There were so many other ways to phrase that, not to mention my son wasn’t aggressively trying to break the furniture. (And maybe if you can’t be anything other than a rude, grumpy old man you shouldn’t be a salesman!?)If this is how you talk to customers you won’t be in business long. I will tell everyone I know of this experience and NOT to shop at Colorado Casual. We will...
Read moreWe had been looking for bar stools for a long time, without finding anything we liked. We even ordered some on-line, which we returned immediately, because they were nowhere close to what we thought we ordered from the pictures. We were in another store and didn't find anything, but the salesperson told us about Colorado Casual. We came in and were met by Kevin. He said, like they advertise, they have a gazillion bar stools. They have so many choices , we had a hard time deciding. Kevin was extremely helpful in helping us. He even took some stools outside, so we could see them in the sunlight. He showed us different frame material and upholstery material , both on-line and in the store. We still couldn't decide, so we decided to go home and think about it. The following weekend we came back with our daughter, to get a third opinion. Again, Kevin was very helpful in helping us make a decision. We were swayed by the quality construction of the stools we chose and the many styles available, which we finally settled on. We highly recommend Colorado Casual for an excellent furniture...
