The Apple Basket — Attraction in Centerville

First let me say the product is absolutely delicious - but they have lost a spending customer - went in to inform them that my cousin was eating the apple last night and came to my room to advise while consuming the apple the stick started dislodging and while she was removing the apple stick a small black spider emerged from where she removed the stick - she immediately wrapped the apple back up and placed the remainder of what she hadn't eaten in a ziplock bag - she was just about finished with the apple - I brought the remaining portion of the Product back and informed the husband - he explained that couldn’t have happened because of the process they use to sterilize the apple - we spoke and he understood where I was coming from and I understood what he was expressing - I informed him that I wanted to purchase two more of the apples and he stated I only had to pay for one as a courtesy - he instructed the Grand daughter to only ring me up for one - then his wife chimes in NO charge her for two while she was holding and examining the ziplock bag - NEVER opened the bag or removed the foil wrapped around the apple to examine as I wanted her to - I paid for both apples - I was soooo grateful to have found this place because I absolutely love apples - candied coated and carmel - I told soooo many people about how very good the product is and I was going to bring family members who were coming to visit there for them to enjoy the treats - but I have completely changed my mind - as much as I and my cousin eat out during the week a $6 to $7 apple was a mere drop in the bucket - you have lost a great customer who could and would have brought you lots of business

Scammers - you truly are a piece of work!!! Those apples are behind a case with an open back facing YOU! Any insects could have crawled on those apples - This wasn't the first time in your establishment - I had just come into the store the previous week and purchased 3 apples and the week before purchased 2 as that was the first time my cousin and I tried them - I truly made the correct decision not to come back - When I was speaking with your husband I explained what I was told by my cousin WHO IS NOT KNOWN TO BE A LIAR - WHO RETIRED AT THE AGE OF 48 AND YES HAS TRAVELED ALL OVER THE GLOBE - What does a $6 to $7 apple mean to us???!!! When I was speaking with your husband we were in agreement to understand each other - neither could figure out what had happened - I then informed him that I still wanted to purchase 2 more apples (OUT OF MY POCKET) - your husband being a courteous business owner made a jester of courtesy to say you only have to pay for 1 - No loud talking - No screaming - No disrespect - since the place is so small I was trying to wait for the customers before me to leave when your husband approached me - THIS IS A LESSON FOR ANYONE ENTERING YOUR BUSINESS TO BEWARE IF YOU BRINGING SOMETHING TO THEIR (HER) ATTENTION YOU WILL BE A SCAMMER - OF A $6 TO $7 APPLE - And to call my cousin and I scammers - to question our integrity - Speaks more about your character then ours - NEVER ARRIVED FOR A FREE ITEM JUST TO BRING AWARENESS - Very Very Sad -...

Me and a cousin visited this shop a few weeks ago. Very quaint, clean, everything looked appetizing. My cousin bought 2 Carmel peanut apples. She cut me a piece, and it was delicious. She went back and bought 3 more, she gave me 1. I was eating it off the stick, and in the middle of a bite, the stick moved, and I saw a small black spider. I wrapped it back up, and placed it in a zip lock bag. And told my cousin. She said we can take it back tomorrow, now as much money as we both spend on takeout, it wasn't really an issue. My cousin returned with the apple in hand, and the gentleman was kind to her, he explained the process of the apple, and said it was impossible (in God's hands nothing is impossible) but he decided to give her an apple for free, and the 2nd apple she would have to purchase. No problem, she really liked the place. The wife told the grandchild, no disregard what he said and ring her up for 2. Trust me, when I say we eat out just about every other day, a 6 dollar apple is nothing. It was her customer service attitude that needs readjusted. She definitely lost a good customer and word of mouth goes along way. RESPONSE TO OWNER* Ma'am a scam? Over a 6 or 7 dollar apple? I drive a luxury SUV and traveled the world, I'm humble and could probably purchase your humble establishment. But you really should get over yourself. Your food is in cases, just like you can go to any place and a fly, a roach, an ant can crawl into. It's not the point of where it was located, it's the point that it was there. I told my cousin don't return it, because I don't like making a fuss because it's not worth it to me, but she insisted because she was planning on going to purchase more from you. We aren't even from here, and we've told people from home about your store. Trust me, they would have endorsed your store and made it worth your while. I have no reason to lie, read my reviews, I am fair. God Bless you and your store. I'd be careful about calling folks scammers. I wanted nothing from you, she wanted nothing from you, she still was purchasing more, it really was to make you aware....

I have been wanting to try The Apple Basket since one of my co-workers stopped in there a month or so ago. I happened to be nearby one day and stopped in...AND I AM GLAD I DID! I have always loved caramel apples, guys, this is a whole new level. These apples and other goodies are AMAZING! Not only do they look straight out of a magazine, the quality and taste of these treats are second to NONE. I got an apple for each of my boys and my parents-and ended up eating quite a bit myself. I was amazed and pleased that we have such a unique, tasty business in our community. I am already thinking of who to get these caramel apples for (oh, did I mention chocolate covered potato chip samples?) as a fun, unique tasty gift. Also, the combinations of her homemade creamy caramel and the variety of toppings will ASTOUND you. There is something for everyone here! Once you try it, you will be back. See you...
