So my cashier, Cristina, forgot to bag one of my items. So she re-scanned all my items but it was in an inefficient, and messy way that I believe caused this issue. She placed everything on the counter at once and at times almost dropped my items and was not careful with my fragile items. She was in a rush, despite there being no line. I checked my bag and in my car many times, but still have not found it which sucks because it was part of a gift and this location is far from where I live. I did pay for this missing item and it is on my receipt. I feel that she was being a little disrespectful based on what I said above. She did not seem stressed or anxious so I think she was just upset at my mother and I. I’m a mellow person but my mother was upset at the cashier for me. My mother was not rude but you could tell she was upset. I don’t usually shop at World Market, but I did buy a lot of items today (17 items based on my receipt). The reason why my items were rescanned was because my mother and I wanted the discount for new members since I didn’t have an account with them prior to today and I bought a lot of things. At first my cashier said try another number after I placed my own number, since I wasn’t sure if I already had an account (this was when I first went to pay for my things). My mother, who was beside me, heard the other cashier (not Cristina) telling other customers about how there’s a discount for new members. So, I think possibly Cristina was upset because my mom was upset at her, and that she had to rescan everything again. But I’m not sure. It wasn’t near closing time so there’s also that. And it really didn’t take that long to scan the items again. Now I’m worried that I’m missing other items that I initially had in my basket that may have not been scanned and placed in my bags. Most of the stuff I...
Read moreGreat staff! We came in on Valentine's Day to buy some chairs we had our eyes on. At the same time, we found the Roland bedroom set, which was available at a great deal. Of five pieces we wanted, only one was in the store. Two pieces needed to be ordered from the warehouse, and Kevin found one piece in Goodyear and one in Happy Valley. We loved the style so much that we drove Tempe-Goodyear-Happy Valley-Tempe to collect what we could that day! When the other two pieces came in a month later, we picked them up. Turns out that the bed we received had a manufacturing flaw in the siderail. It happens. When I came back to return the pieces, which were bought with way-too-complex payment methods including multiple Visa gift cards we had received to put towards this, Kevin and his colleague Paulette (I think it was Paulette!) were so helpful in unwinding the transaction. We are disappointed that this particular bedroom set didn't work out, but we love our new kitchen chairs! Like I said, great staff from beginning to end. ...
