The Forge — Attraction in Chaska

I moved to Chaska a couple of years ago, and soon after discovered The Forge. I have had the great pleasure of watching this amazing store grow and succeed over the years I've been going here, and I can honestly say this place deserves every good thing the universe has steered their way. From becoming more and more recognized by collectors of all different kinds, to expanding into new and exciting ventures by opening up their own restaurant, The Forge just continues to grow, and I'm honored I get to experience it with them!

They sell everything from board games to cards, including Pokemon, Magic, One Piece, Force of Will, Star Wars, War Hammer, Card and Gaming supplies of all sorts and so much more! On top of that, the staff here is amongst the best I've ever met. Every single one of them is kind, caring, honest and respectful. They're down to earth and I can, and have haha, gone in here plenty of times just to sit and chat with many of them. They're truly amazing folks and I feel blessed that I live close enough to visit often.

Last but not least, their prices are phenomenal. Just about everything is at or below MSRP, and they run specials all the time. There have been very few times where they've had to ask above MSRP for products and when that's happened, its because they themselves had to pay more then the normal price to get those items. And even then, their prices are still extremely fair. This is truly one of the best card stores in Minnesota, and I highly recommend everyone give them a visit or two as soon...

Ive been going to The Forge since day one, when it was a small operation with a very welcoming atmosphere. There once was an abundant and ever changing inventory of cards that made stopping in regularly fun. Since then, every aspect of The Forge has been in a steady decline. The staff have gotten progressively dismissive and rude, the stock has shifted towards MTG more than anything, and after my last experience, I sadly have to say that it was my last time going here. Ryan, one of the owners, lost his temper while I was trying to point out what product I wanted to purchase behind the counter. Its unnecessary and certainly not the first time I’ve been treated this way. Its mind boggling to me that a business owner would treat a customer, not to mention a regular customer in such a way with no apparent reason. I want to make it known that because of this, I’m bringing my business and loyalty thirty minutes further away because unlike your store, my favorite part...

I preordered a Pokemon ETB from The Forge on a whim, and I had such a positive experience! Even though I pre-ordered two and was only able to get one, the Forge staff reached out immediately via email to let me know (and mentioned it again during the phone call letting me know I could pick it up). While two boxes would have been great, I really appreciated that they wanted to take care of as many of their customers as possible. Even better, they actually charged me MSRP! With the Pokémon TCG being so difficult to get these days, a lot of LGSes are charging scalper prices, so it’s wonderful to find a business with integrity - one of the gents behind the counter mentioned they didn’t pay more to order the boxes, so why should they charge us more? and I think that’s a great way to do business.
