I called in advance to ask how long it would take to have a dress altered. I was told one week. When I came in, I was then told it would actually be three weeks. This was a very simple wedding dress with no beading, no detail, and only two layers of fabric, so the change was confusing and frustrating.
When I arrived at the shop, the woman working stayed on a personal call the entire time, as though I was bothering her simply by coming in. When I tried to clarify the pickup time, she became frustrated. Later, I called to request the dress be ready the night before instead of the next morning—a request that still gave a week and a half of lead time. Again, she was rude, telling me I was "changing dates," even though I only asked to pick it up a few hours earlier.
She agreed, but when I arrived, her behavior was so dismissive and she looked so angry at me that she might as well have thrown the dress at me. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
I have lived in many states and never had an issue with a seamstress until now. My mother was in the fashion industry in NYC and would bring me all over NYC during work. Ive literally got to meet hundreds of seamstress. There was no reason to be rude. Maybe take a day off instead of lashing out at customers. Because of this, I’ve invested in my own sewing setup and will be handling my family’s clothing myself going forward. This was not about money as i so well for myself, it’s about being treated with basic courtesy in my own community. I sincerely hope other customers are treated with more respect than I was. Thank you for the worst experience ever. I would never send my loved one to you because I wouldn't want them being...
Read moreI took in a dress that needed MAJOR alterations. Standard length and arm shortening but the biggest thing was the actual arm holes. The dress fit fantastic everywhere else but the way the arms were cut/fit, you couldn’t move. When i bought the dress, all the reviews stated this so it’s clearly how it’s made but i decided to take my chance. Needless to say, K Tailor NAILED it entirely and got the arms fixed - you cannot even tell where or how they did it. I was so nervous no one could fix the sleeves given it’s not a normal alteration but K Tailor did it with ease. I’ll never go anywhere else. Trust them with everything! I wish they could have just made the dress...
Read moreI came into K- Tailor on a SATURDAY absolutely Frantic because a dress I had just received the day before was entirely too long .
They were one of the few tailors in my area that was actually open on Saturday… So I took a shot.
They were able to do a rush double layered hem for me that I need today (which is TUESDAY) charged me only $100
it is absolutely PERFECT!!
I highly recommend this place . the woman who helped me on Saturday was very calming, even though I was in a tizzy and my dress is going to be FABULOUS for my event tonight .
THANK...
