I went yesterday for my birthday and I didn’t had a pleasant experience , and I am also visiting only for few days and flew in all the way from Florida.
I booked online my appointment for a scalp/head massage plus 60min massage. A male masseuse greeted me and asked me to undress and be under the covers to start a massage. I did not know it would be a man doing it. The last thing I wanted for my birthday was a man touching me. I could also tell that he was nervous speaking with me while giving me the directions inside of the room. So he proceed and did the scalp/head massage, which he put too much pressure and it was more painful than anything, while I was stressed out for the fact he would be doing the body massage after. He pulled all my hair hard in the end, he asked if that felt good and I said no. I said it was too strong. Then he went and did it again….. after the painful session was finally over, I told him I would not be doing the body massage as I was feeling uncomfortable that a man would be touching my body, and I asked to cancel. As I was getting ready for the shower (my hair was a big mess and full of oil, so I had to wash my hair), he said no manager was at the spa anymore and that they would try to contact someone else to solve my issue. After I was done with the shower I saw on the clock it was almost 7:30pm.
When I left the shower a female masseuse did greet me and said she was available to do the body massage. Fine, the only thing they didn’t tell me is that they close at 8:00pm and that I would be getting 30min massage, which in the end they made me pay for full 60min massage.
Not only my birthday experience was frustrating, I had to pay full price for 30min massage.
I’m trying now to cancel my reflexology session that I booked and there is no option on their website or email for that. They only open at 10am and they charge 50% fee if you don’t cancel upfront. The only way to cancel is by calling them during their...
Read moreI would not recommend this place to anyone. As inconvenienced first time customers we were treated like criminals. The service was absolutely terrible.
My girlfriend and I scheduled a couples massage for 1/25/22. When we arrived we were told that we "did not schedule a couples massage, we scheduled a massage for two people." As first time customers, we were confused as to how this was miscommunicated and wanted to cancel our current appointment and reschedule a couples massage. The manager kept repeating "Usually people know that two massages, means separate massages." But do they? We didn't and why didn't they clarify that with us when we scheduled?
We were told that we would have to pay a cancellation fee that was 50% of the original price. Flabbergasted by that statement, we asked if they can make an exception because this miscommunication was not our fault--we felt they should've clarified/confirmed, that we wanted a couples massage when we scheduled the appointment.
They responded by telling us if we did not pay the cancellation fee, we would be banned from their business forever... I tried hard to explain that this miscommunication is not our fault, especially as first time customers and we should not be penalized for something like this. They made no true concessions. As a result, my girlfriend and I are banned from an establishment we never even used.
I hope they do not treat all of their customers with this much unprofessionalism. Maybe they think our dollars are not as green as everyone else's because...
Read moreFirst, I want to start this review saying I've been a loyal client to Allyu for 7+ years. I have practitioners that I've been seeing consistently for facials, massage and nails. That said, I made a last minute appointment for a pedicure. The next day, I tested positive for COVID and called to cancel and reschedule. The person I spoke with, rather robotically, told me I would be charged the cancellation fee. I was totally miffed, and obviously sick, scared and panicked with my symptoms... and asked how this could be? He checked with the manager, and still said, "sorry, you're being charged for service." I've never asked to speak with a manager, but in this instance, I did. The manager told me, also robotically, that I would be charged and upon expressing my displeasure with the policy, because it was not communicated to apply to Covid and given I've been a loyal client, want to reschedule, and would be fine with a credit, etc, because this is MY FAVORITE SPOT- she responded "I'm sorry you feel that way." At which point, I told her I would never return and the customer service regarding this issue is unacceptable.
I am absolutely gutted, because I love this place. I understand everyone is hurting in the pandemic- but some empathy/compromise could have been achieved in this situation. For that reason, I will never go back there- and want to share with the internet, that this may be the worst interaction I've had, with anyone, at a high-end service industry,...
