Oakley Station is what could be considered a modern plaza/outdoor mall combo, much like The Greene in Beavercreek up north and Liberty Center in Liberty Township. Although it is a bit more spread out over a larger, or seemingly larger area, than the aforementioned examples. There are more places to eat than there is trendy shopping places and most of them are reasonably priced for couples though several would be budget breakers for families of four or more. I have not eaten at all of them just yet but the food at the places I have eaten is generally exceptional. For instance Wild Eggs has quite possibly one of the best cinnamon rolls you will ever have and as an ardent Cinnabon lover it's hard to find one better than theirs, but Wild Eggs' is amazing.
There are many, many more places for food including fast food but I'm not getting into all of that or I'd be here all day. There is a huge Kroger Marketplace as well as a Meijer if you need to do any grocery shopping. There was a Fresh Thyme but they sadly closed it up. Unfortunate because Fresh Thyme is the best place to get affordable organics and/or all natural foods. There is a lot of stuff to do here and if you need to get a lot done it's most certainly an option even if you aren't exactly local. If you live within 15-20 minutes it's probably the best place to shop regardless of proximity to another Kroger. Any more than 30 minutes drive might be too far to be considered to shop at than a more local store, but if you have the time then why not go there to get all of your errands knocked out without having to drive several places getting in and out of...
Read moreI had ordered a birthday cake for my daughters 3rd birthday party a week ahead of time and, was supposed to pick it up and hour before the party. When I got there, the lady asked me what the cakes name was under and, I told her my name and, after about 20 minutes of searching she told me she couldn't find my cake. I was panicking! She ended up calling a supervisor who started calling the worker that took my order to find out what happened, then asked me himself what the name was on the cake and in seconds he found the cake. Because, they used my first name instead of my lastname which is what they usually use. It has me almost in tears because, me and my partner has invested a lot of money into my daughters party and I didn't want to arrive home with no cake or a substitute that didnt go with the parties theme!! Usually, I love this kroger and I usually have no issues other than how busy they are and the lack of lanes they have open. I will continue to shop here and continue ordering my children's cake. Mistakes happen, but at the time, they almost had me in tears, and I tried my hardest to keep my mama bear...
Read moreWhen this particular Kroger's first open for the first for 5 months or so I would pass up 2 Kroger stores just to get to the Oakley Square Kroger because of the cleanliness service accessibility along with the great employees. No one is ever too busy to stop and help you whether you inside the store or outside on the property. I love that. I have a disability so as far as the accessibility is concerned I love the fact that there were great deal of handicapped parking as well as scooters and that was great. Batteries always stay charged, this particular store had an abundance of scooters. Now the scooters are scarce and the batteries are seldomly charged. The signs on them state that the batteries are charged and ready to go then not even half way through shopping the battery dies and there you are stuck in the store and someone has to go get another one or a grocery cart. It is so annoying. So I have to take my chances and do my shopping close to store closing time. I have been shopping with Kroger stores for over 50 years and want to continue but I may have to deal with an...
