I absolutely love the Frankenmuth River Shops! I make it a point to visit at least once a year, and each time is a delightful experience. This year, I'm especially excited for our trip; it’s the perfect small getaway for the family, filled with charm and activities to enjoy together.
The atmosphere at the River Shops is incredibly inviting, set within the enchanting Bavarian-style town of Frankenmuth. Strolling along the picturesque pathways lined with vibrant shops is a joy in itself. There’s a fantastic variety of stores, each offering unique items, from handmade crafts to stylish clothing and local artwork. I always find something special to take home!
If you're looking to indulge, the array of treats is impressive. From delectable fudge and homemade ice cream to gourmet popcorn and artisanal chocolates, there’s something to satisfy every sweet tooth. The flavors are rich and wonderful, making it hard to choose just one!
What I love most is that Frankenmuth caters to both families and couples. Whether you’re enjoying quality time with your kids or seeking a romantic escape with your spouse, there’s no shortage of activities. You can explore quaint cafes, indulge in wine tastings, or relax by the river and take in the beautiful scenery.
Prices at the shops are comparable to what you’d expect in a popular vacation town, but the quality and experience are well worth it. Frankenmuth River Shops consistently deliver joy, relaxation, and a sense of community that keeps us coming back year after year. Without a doubt, this place deserves a...
Read moreIts okay. Not as great as we had heard or hoped for. It's all about over priced shopping. We went to Bronner's, being during the Christmas season I guess I had higher expectations. I thought I would be "Oohing & Aaahing" over the displays, and decor, I didn't. I've Oooh'ed and Aaah'ed more over Cabela's or Outpost. The reality is, it was a bunch of over priced ornaments. Ranging from $16.99 each being the cheapest we saw, and we saw ornaments as high as $41.99 each. I saw a medium sized nativity (Maybe 2.5'-3' high) I really liked it, but it cost $500. So if you go there expect to spend $1000's. You wouldn't be able to decorate a 6ft pencil tree fully without spending around $1000. We walked around downtown and went to the Cheese Haus and they had some unique cheeses, an entire room where they have the aged cheeses, you can't go in but can see in the window. We bought some cheddar bleu cheese spread and its very good. They had chocolate cheese. I never heard of chocolate cheese before. Alot of trinket shops that are overpriced. I wanted the experience, now I went I don't have any desire to go back. The world's best chicken, is not the world's best chicken. Everyone has their own taste, but I have definetly had alot better chicken from Andy's, Martin's Deli, even KFC. They serve you some liver pate' with your meal. It's all German cooking. And German cooking is very good, but keep in mind that it can also be very bland. They have alot of candy stores, and we bought some really good chocolates and we bought some toffee that was...
