Yesterday I spent four hours at this store. I have an Iphone X that has a very poor signal strength. It started in March. I went to the Apple store in the city first. They erased my phone and started as new, but they did not document it . A week later, my Iphone X was dropping the signal again. I called AT&T and they assured me it doesn't not come from them. My wife has the Iphone 6S and she has a great signal while I don't. So I went to Ridge Hill, waited an hour to be seen. At the Genius Bar, on of the employees tried my phone and told me my internet was terrible. He called the technical person. She checked the hardware, didn't find anything, then she said we need to erase my phone again. I told her it has been done before and I am looking for another option. The manager came, told me that because it wasn't documented they have to do it and that there are no other options. I was so frustrated. He said if I didn't let them erase it, he would leave. So they erased the phone, then told me there were no issues. I was so upset. They said that if they cannot reproduce the issues at the store, they won't do anything. When you reset your phone like new, it will work great but if there is a defect, the problem would keep happening. I argued with them. I talked to the three managers, at that point they were teaming up against me, not trying to find a solution. I left the store, walked 40 feet and the signal dropped again. I came back but the signal around the Apple store is strong so I could not show them the issue, even though the manager tried to connect to the internet 5 times and then he told me my phone was perfectly fine. At that point I was crying. I paid 1500 $ for a phone that doesn't work, lost two working afternoons. I bought a phone is supposed to be the best on the market. I went home, read online that many people have similar issues and it might be because Apple uses different cellular modems in different iPhone X models. For example, the US version of iPhone X (model A1865) contains a Qualcomm modem. This modem is superior in both performance and global adaptability to all types of systems according to online comments. The Canadian model (A1901) contains an Intel modem. This modem is a weaker performer according to the same sources. For some reasons, I have this modem. So if the issue comes from the modem, it would not show in all of the diagnostics. I went home, called Apple Support, he told me that there is no repair options for Iphone X, but he opened a case for me and now I am going to send my phone for intense test but if the issue is the modem, it doesn't seem they will acknowledge it. I bought the Iphone X, after they did that update which created many issues for owners of the Iphone 6. I had my I phone 6 for 3 years with no issues. I have many Apple products and never complained. For the first time, I went to complain , I was not taken seriously. I feel powerless and taken...
Read moreOn Sunday 11/12/2023 at approximately 3:10pm I came into this location to purchase an iPhone 15, however I ended up leaving very dissatisfied with the way me and my partner were treated. The representative that assisted us insisted she could not sell us a financed phone because my ICCD did not match what was on my ATT account. That was the first lie, however me being a manager for the Carrier I knew that was incorrect as my account is handled really carefully. Later on they proceeded to tell us Apple did not have access to firstnet and that was another reason we couldn’t purchase a phone from them. My partner wanted to use his Apple master card to purchase the device. isn’t that the benefit of having one ? After this I asked the young lady if I could speak to a manager, instead she got another representative who presented himself as a manager. I left the store and proceeded to purchase the phone online for pick up. The online process was very simple and my ATT account was verified in complete online. I proceeded to go back into the store later on at about 4:16pm to pick up my order. At this time I was helped by a sweet women who told us the information given to us prior was false and we could at any moment finance a phone with Apple. She then called over the manager whose name goes by TORKEL. TORKEL also stated that the representative who falsely identified him self as a manager was a regular representative not someone of higher knowledge. So not only was I stereotyped but I was also lied to by the 2 reps that first helped me. He apologized but when I asked him for the representatives name because I would call corporate he told me he could not share anyone’s information. He wouldn’t even give me his last name. I could tell he was not taking the situation seriously. If you want to be appreciated for supporting a business avoid going to this store. I don’t want to use the word discrimination loosely but that is exactly how it felt. I felt like I went to buy a phone we looked a certain way and once I mentioned finance the representative did not want to help us any further. It was a NO u can’t finance nothing matches from the beginning of the interaction. The representative did not go out of her way to find a way of accommodating us. She insisted we could only pay for the phone in full so did the fake manager.
Long story short I will never shop in this store again. I guess you have to look a certain way to finance anything at the ridge hill location unless you are lucky enough to get a decent...
Read moreIf I can give this place zero stars I would. We went in for a simple screen change on an iPhone and issues we were having with our AirPods. We were early to our appointment but they made us wait 30 minutes to check us in. We finally get a rep to assists us after about a 15 minute wait, we explain the issue with the iPhone. She asks my husband to remove the screen protector from the phone, my husband refuses due to the fact that the screen was cracked and he might get injured. Her reason for not being able to remove it was because she had nail extensions. Within reason my husband gets upset and she proceeds to get a different rep. The new rep comes and assists us. He was actually interested in helping us and was going above and beyond to accommodate. During our conversation, the rep notices a discrepancy on our account and goes to speak to his supervisor. While we are waiting, manager manny asks us to move to the other side of the table because our stroller was “blocking the main aisle of the store”. At this point we are annoyed and manny asks if everything was ok, we proceed to inform him of our initial experience with the first rep and the issue that was going on with our account. We tried to explain that the issue with our account was incorrect but manny decided not to hear us out and stated that he will decline services to us and asked us to leave the store. He then unnecessarily proceeds to inform the security that we were leaving. As we are leaving the security begins to get aggressive and instigate with my husband as we are walking away. I respectfully asked him to please leave us alone as we were already outside of the store and we were walking away. The security guard continues antagonizing and was asking my husband to go back to “face him as a man”. The security guard’s behavior was just the icing to the cake.
We have never experienced such bad service at any Apple store. Stay away from this place until the staff is changed....
