Just left there, I'm a club member. Benefits of being a club member is not only they match online price if another store has it in stock, they beat it by 5%. When I go to check out and show them Academy has the exact same item for $130 less, they told me they didn't price match. Then when they realized they did, it was only certain stores within the vicinity, the store has to be within 100 miles, which it is. Then they told me the item was on sale at academy so they wouldn't match sale price, which it wasn't on sale (clearly shows not on sale on website). When I said I would call academy to confirm this, they proceeded to tell me that wasn't good enough. So then they call a manager and manager continues to do the same. So I left and call BPS customer service, in which they looked both items up on their website and academy website, they told me they should have matched the price and I should go back in and have manager call customer service. At this point the last thing I want to do is go back in their and give them any of my money, it's absolutely ridiculous how every time you walk in they try to sell you on a club card and how great all the benefits are, and then when you do get one, they don't honor any of it. I'm not sure I'll ever want to shop at BPS again when I can go to academy and get it cheaper with less hassle. I used to love shopping here but not anymore, they...
Read moreI have been a customer of Bass Pro Shops since 1975. I have purchased Bass Tracker and Nitro boats exclusively but the service I received from the boat service area was not good at all. They had the boat for nearly a month, the quality of the work performed was not good . No pride in workmanship. The screws that were used originally for the repair were stripped and some were missing. I had to ask for them to be replaced. There was Grease smeared and coffee spilled on the carpet. The deck was put back on pushed up on one side. I had to ask for them to put the deck back the way it was. I had a $2,100 trolling motor put on the boat, and being that the trolling motor was bigger than the original the boat cover was going to need to be altered. I paid $325 to have a $450 boat cover altered and then the straps we're not put back the way they were on the cover in fact, they were left off altogether. So the boat cover could not be pulled snug over the boat anymore. I went ahead and took it because the boat was over there for a month. I would think twice before having any more work done on my boat there. Bass Pro Shops need to consider the image that that service department is portraying . Total spent on that experience was $3300.00 I almost forgot I was charged 157.00 for a new Battery and it was never put in!!! Just a empty slot...
Read moreMore than a camping and hunting store... it's a wildlife museum and retail amusement park! I speak on behalf of those folks who don't like to camp or hunt in any way: Do make a point to visit once in a while.
Good: The whole place a full of eye candy. The center attraction is the aquarium that visitors can observe the underwater world from above and below. Taxidermy is on display everywhere. It's a great place for kids as they are always scheduling activities from indoor fishing to visiting a Santa wonderland during the holidays. In addition, the selection of housewares, gifts, and home goods is great... fun to browse. There is also a gift area comparable to what you might see at a zoo with items from souvenir shirts to toys.
Good: I have experienced great customer service in the store. The staff is very knowledgable about the merchandise.
This particular store is unique because it was built within a portion of an old shopping mall that was gutted and remodeled. Becoming it's own virtual stand-alone structure, this Bass Pro takes up a two level space that previous housed small shops, an arcade, miniature gold, a movie theater, and a mini-amusement park. For these reasons, this Bass Pro is designed like no other.
This is a fun place to visit whenever...
