I have had the worst experience at this restaurant - not once but twice. This place does not know what courtesy and customer service is. I was at this restaurant on the 3rd July 2017. Waited for 45 minutes in a line to order. By the time I reached the cashier, she says, Dosa is the only thing I can order. She was not even apologetic about the fact. When I spoke to someone who seemed to be in charge spoke from within the kitchen, he was more rude than the girl at the counter. I hope no one has to go through this kind of horrific rudeness. People like these make rest of the Indians and the culture look bad. This is not my first experience with these guys. Some time earlier this year, again they had more people than what they could handle - they served us terribly cold and uncooked food. When we spoke to the girl at the counter, she says its not her problem. I am amazed again by the absolute unprofessional behavior of the people who own and run this place. NEVER EVER AGAIN TO THIS CRAPY PLACE! I want to give them ZERO STARS!!!! If you have any form of self respect please do not go to this place. There are other Indian restaurants in Cleveland Area. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THAT CARES NOT EVEN A BIT ABOUT RESPECTING ITS REGULAR CUSTOMERS! SCROLL DOWN AND READ THE OWNER'S RESPONSE TO ANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS....you'll be amazed! If food is all you care about and don't mind to be insulted ... then this is a...
Read moreMy husband chose this for his birthday dinner last weekend. We love Indian street food and this was the only place with Indian street food that we could find in Cleveland.
You can order and pay over the phone when you get takeout so that's what we did.
My parents, husband, and I all split a bunch of food.
For starters we got Dahi Puri, Bombay Special Bhel, Samosa Chole, Samosas, and Gobi Manchurian. I loved the Dahi Puri, Bombay Special Bhel, and the Samosa Chole. We had to assemble the Dahi Puri and Bombay Special Bhel ourselves which I wasn't a fan of. I assume they do this so that it doesn't get soggy though. I usually love Gobi Manchurian, but theirs wasn't as good as others I've had. It was mushy and the sauce was different than what I've had elsewhere.
For entrees we got Malai Kofta, Paneer Makhani, and Butter Chicken. I've never had Malai Kofta before, but it was by far my favorite. All three were good (although I always like paneer/veggie more than meat at Indian restaurants).
We added cheese naan, garlic naan, and Onion Kulcha as well. The garlic naan was great as usual. I've never had Onion Kulcha before and I loved it. The cheese naan was disappointing. It didn't really taste like it had any cheese.
If you've never had Indian street food, you definitely need to try it! This place was delicious and I would highly...

Bombaay Chaat is one of my favorite Indian Restaurants in Cleveland. The food has never been anything below great in regard to taste, but their wait time is excessive. I've had to wait 40 minutes before for my food. If you plan to eat here, make sure to call ahead for the order or you will be a while.
My go to order is usually the somosa with Chicken Tikka Masala. This time I got the Dahi Puri and Chicken Tikka Masala.
The appetizers here are also really overpriced in my opinion. As you can see, the Dahi Puri are simply lightly puffed puris (that you have to fill in yourself) that taste great, but cost $5.49. The sauces at this place are out of this world good which might be where the cost is incurred but still not worth it.
The Chicken Tikka Masala sauce here is some of the best I've ever tried. It comes in 4 spice levels and I've found the "spicy" level gives good heat while still pairing well with the cream based sauce.
I also usually only go with Chicken here for anything because the lamb and goat are more like pressed cubes.
Overall, this Indian spot is great for a call in and pick up. It provides fantastic tasting Indian food to a fairly central spot downtown. Would highly...
