My last straw with them was today. While waiting on hold for literally 15 minutes the machine told me they were closed, and to call back another time (It was 2:30pm and the second time I waited on hold for them today). I understand they are trying to do the good work, resources are slim, covid, and people are working for free but if you can't provide the service, don't offer it. I have been trying for years to get proper assistance from them on issues I have with health, workers rights, child care and ect, but I have always been pointed in another direction and sent away with an over-explanation of why they can't really help. I can honestly say that they have never helped me the way I needed, which is sad because I'm sure most if not all of them want to be able to.
They are my only option though, so I guess I will keep calling the next day I'm free.

After calling several times a few weeks ago only to be put on hold until it decided it was time to disconnect, I filled out an online application and made an appointment for a call. They called half an hour before my appointment. I and I was at work. They rescheduled me, but I missed it thanks to a glitch. The voicemail, get this, only said to call the number I'd been trying to call weeks before. And, when you call the number, it tells you to fill out an online application, which I already did. So now I don't know what to do. Emailed the address on their website but haven't gotten a response. I'm sure they are just overwhelmed, but they are stressing out stressed out people. It would be nice if they could get someone to work out the kinks and make the whole system work a little...
   Read moreI would post no stars if possible. They were prompt in returning calls, so perhaps that warrants a star. I am sure they have helped some people, but the representative I have dealt with was rude, negative, dismissive, matter-of- fact, condescending, insinuating, judgemental, and gave no legal advice. I was all but told I was unskilled and basically a liar. I was talked to like I was child and told that they couldn't help me, for a plethora of non legal reasons. I was all but told I was a fool for even attempting what I needed legal help with. You get what you pay for.
