Very disappointed, I came to Cleveland for my boyfriends birthday and several uber drivers recommended this place to me. After the Cleveland Indians game tonight my boyfriend and I went out for drinks around 8pm. We had two drinks and we were about to get a shot but every time my boyfriend tried to wave down a bar tendender they turned their head like they didn't see us. He turned around to ask the guy at the door if he can get a bartender for us because we would like one more drink and he said rudely that he was at the door checking ids. He then said we were too drunk and had to leave, the bartender then came up to us and My boyfriend just said that we would like another drink and he said we had to leave because the other guy said so but the crazy thing is before he said that he asked if we had a tab And my boyfriend said no we already paid for our previous drinks that's when he said it's time for us to go. This place is very racist, my boyfriend is black and I am white. we were not loud we were not drunk we were enjoying our time and having a good conversation. I am so disguised in how my boyfriend and I was treated. I truly believe it was because of race, I think this is so unexceptable and should not be a place you give your money too. I would never ever reccomend this place to anyone!!! I would not even give them one star I would give them negative stars. We then went to the clevender down the street and they were much nicer and served us. If your reading this don't waste your time at the thirsty parrot just go to the clevlender you will have a much better experience there. I don't think this is right at all. It was my boyfriends birthday and he shouldn't have been treated like that. It makes me mad because people around us were so loud and drunk and we were just minding...
Read moreWhat an awful awful awful experience. Our first time to thirsty parrot goes as follows: 2 hours before game time, not crowded. (so no excuse for long ticket times) 45 minute wait for our food. Came out colder then the brisk lake effect air. Ordered a chicken sandwich that came out as two chicken tenders cold and naked on a hamburger bun. When we asked our server about the naked obsurd sandwich, her response (after she rolled her eyes so far into the back of her head that I thought they wouldn't come back forward) was "well we aren't known for our food" WHO SAYS THAT?!?!!!!! Ok ok ok, we missed batting practice already, we are completely starving and ready to go. CHECK PLEASE. (still had a $25 bill for two beers and food that we didn't eat, AFTER kindly speaking to a general manager, who invited us back for "whatever we would like" after the game) NO THANKS. awful food and even worse service..never in my life seen a server be so disrespectful to a guest. never ever ever again. Save your money. And your appetite for cheaper, BETTER quality food at the stadium that the Indians staff will serve you with a...
Read moreWas here for the weekend from Orlando, FL. We went to the "Thirsty Parrot" because it looked crowded from a distance and looked like a fun place to eat at. We arrived, sat down inside, our waiter, while a nice fellow was completely clueless and was having a better time talking to the staff than assisting us. I asked for a sweet tea, and he brought me an unsweet tea, then proceeded to tell me they were out of sweet tea. Anyway, my wife and I ordered burgers, nothing fancy, two cheeseburgers and fries, after about 30 minutes (there was also NO ONE inside when we arrived) our burgers came out. The buns were dried out, the patty was hard and cold, and the fries were cold. Absolutely bar none the worst bar food and worst burgers we have ever had. This place is a toilet bowl, we should have read the reviews before we went, look at all the one-star reviews, they are on point. This place may be good to stop by and grab a few drinks before the game but AVOID the food, disgusting. Clearly poor management. Also... selection of food is extremely minimal (red flag)... see picture of...
