This year for teacher appreciation week, I wanted to give my son's teachers something they would enjoy, unique and memorable. I seen a post on fb from Abigail's, showing their candy bouquets. I contacted them requesting 5, but I needed 1 to be sugar free if possible due to dietary restrictions. I was told no problem, they would have them ready in a few days. We stayed in touch via instant messenger regarding updates. Any preferences I might have, I only asked for something chocolate, something unusual and the rest at their discretion. Due to the sugar free candy being more individual pieces we thought it best to put that one in a nice gift box. They were fantastic and better than I imagined they would be. The base was a solid glass container filled with jelly beans and all sorts of fun candy on display. They wrapped them to prevent anything from getting displaced before delivery to school. I was delighted with the results and the great customer service at Abigail's. They went above and beyond. Their shop is very charming, lots for the eyes to see, lots of walks down memory lane with the assortment of candy. They also have delicious ice creams, old time soda, willy Wonka playing in the back with a couple chairs for the kids to hang out in. I highly recommend this shop and the family...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe guy working said hi but nothing else, once we were ready to check out we stood there while he continued to do paperwork. Not too long but long enough for it to feel rude. Ive been in retail for over a decade, be friendly, be prompt and customers always come first.
90% of the items didn't have any sort of pricing so you're left either asking about everything or biting a huge bill at checkout. I understand it's clovis, in cali and it's a niche shop but everything was simply way overpriced. We spent 17$ on a sucker and the tiniest bag of jelly beans. Yikes. BTW almost every flavor of jelly been was to the point of empty, which is sort of what I went there for.
Overall, cute place but genuinely disappointed. Waited a long time to come here too.
( not sure what the Gelato situation was but they were not serving any. Case was empty,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLots of my friends disagree, but I stand by my opinion that this is the best candy shop in Fresno county. They have so much variety, so many different kinds of candy, and so much of each kind!
I go here very often to get my sugar fixed, and my personal favorite thing is in the back of the shop, on a little acrylic clear stand. Candy sticks! You can ask an employee for them, and I promise you'll enjoy them. But don't take my word for it! Look around and see what else you can find!!
I once even asked for a job there, but he said that it's extremely difficult to get a job at Abigail's, because all of the employees enjoy themselves so much that they never want to leave! I couldn't tell you how much they pay, but it definitely sounds like a dream first job for me. I challenge you to beat me to...
