Read moreSo apparently they donât check seating here at this theater and itâs not always necessary, except when someone else is actually sitting in your seats. Two teenage girls ruined the night for me while I was trying to enjoy a movie with my son. They were sitting in our seats even though the seats were for handicapped people, which none of the two girls were by the way. The ticket guy let us have those two seats so that we could sit together since my son is a child 10 & under and there were no available seats that were together. I was happy until I walked in the theater and I had to ask these two girls to move because they were sitting in our seats. I told them nicely, âI think youâre sitting in our seatsâ and I had the tickets in my hand ready to show them. One girl tells the other girl, she says weâre sitting in her seats, and the other girl says, âoh they must have booked them twice because we have the same seats,â but didnât bother to show me their tickets to prove otherwise. She then tried to make me feel guilty and said, âitâs okay though, weâll move.â And they got their things and moved elsewhere and I said thank you but they didnât say anything after that. Then after the movie was over they were walking behind me and my son as I walked to the car as if still trying to make me feel bad almost, not sure what was up with that. Anyway, moral of the story is, people will always try to take your seats if they think youâre not coming, and will lie to your face just to save their own, but maybe the theater employees should start checking tickets so that this doesnât happen again. I donât think they booked the same seats twice because thatâs just nonsense. The girls were obviously lying because they looked like they were 18 and over for Peteâs sake! It was a childrenâs movie lol!? Also the chairs were very uncomfortable for me and my son, they didnât recline because they were for the handicapped I guess, but it was uncomfortable sitting through the movie in those chairs for some reason. We both kept moving trying to get comfortable all night. Other than that we...
Read moreSo I've been going to this theater for pretty much my whole life and the reclining seats are great and were awesome when they were first installed, but there has been a persistent decline in this theater I'd say in the last few years.
If you go to any of the big auditoriums right at the front of the entrance the best seats in the middle rows are always either
I like going to the movies to support cinema and always try to get the udc when I can but honestly lately I feel like the price is not worth it for how disgusted I feel when I sit down.
I'm seriously afraid one of these days I'm going to find a roach crawling on me and that might be what keeps me from coming back.
The food service has always been notoriously slow so you have to get there early (even if there are like 5 people in line). They took like half a year to remodel the bathrooms. I stopped using my rewards card here becuase it only ever worked half the time and wasn't worth the pain. I always joked with friends that this is a place I wouldn't want to work becuase the workers never seemed happy to be there.
I really only still go here becuase I live in Clovis and the only options for good reclining seats are machester mall (15-20 min away) and Edwards if you pay over $20 for a seat.
Hope it gets better and that they hire better management because it really feels like there is no "care" put into this theater. I gave this place 5 stars a long time ago and it definitely does not...
