Showed up here at 9:43 pm. Never told of closing time or that the lights would be shut off on us. Worker Daniel saw we were the last group playing as he collected garbage. We reached the 16th hole and the lights were shut off on us leaving us in the dark. We finished the hole in 3 minutes in the dark and made our way towards the office ..that was already locked..we walk to the front and we see Daniel and two female workers. We tell them they left us in the dark. Daniel acted as if he didnt realize we were there. The girls blamed him and apoligized. This is where things get real sketchy..we walk out and within seconds 2 patrol cars drive up. Officer says the lights are off this place is closed and that they had calls of people on the golf course. We still had the golf clubs in hand giving them to the workers. Yet the cops acted as if we were trespassing, asking the workers if what we said was true! This is a scam!! If those kids were by their cars or if we delayed 1 or 2 minutes more they wouldve issued us summonses or arrested us..as paying customers..i wonder how many people this place or these cops have set up by doing this...im a retired NYC Police Sergeant and i know the scam these cops were trying to pull off. Its shameful. And everyone should be made...
Read moreUpon entering the Lighthouse Cove building, it goes straight into the dining/bar area. I was greeted by a friendly worker, who helped me find a craft beer from the 8 they had on draft.
The selection of beer is very good — Lager, Pilsner, Hefeweizen, IPA, Porter, and more. I ordered the Motorworks PulpFriction and was really happy with its fruit-forward and hoppy notes.
For the mini golf, I did both the Lost Lagoon and Paradise Falls courses. They are both 18-hole courses. Lost Lagoon goes over the falls, Paradise Falls goes under the falls.
In my opinion, Lost Lagoon was more fun 1’e Paradise Falls was more challenging.
Both courses were clean and had plenty of places to sit or set drink down. At eat hole, there were QR codes to order food and drinks so you could enjoy the game without making a trip back to the building.
I was tempted to try to the ice cream, but had other meal plans for the morning. Most of their options would appeal to a younger palate (Cotton Candy, Birthday Cake, etc).
I had lots of fun and would...
Read moreWent there this past Monday night and it was surprisingly very busy. Granted, it is spring break for a lot of children. While it was a fun time, there was always a back up on each course. My mom and I were stuck between a group of six young teens who didn't have much respect for the people around them, and a pair of intoxicated men who had a bucket of beer they carried along with them. We really did have a great time, but the crowds and back up were a bit of a bummer. We bought some ice cream afterward that was really good, but a bit overpriced. I had a cone with two scoops and my mom had a cone with one scoop and the total was $10. A bit much, but it was delicious! Will point out this might not be the best place to take children as they really seemed to push alcohol all throughout the course with their "Thirsty? Scan this QR code and have a beer ordered right to you in the line!" Signs on literally every course number 1 - 18. Because of this, the place had a stale beer smell to it that may make kids sick to their stomachs. Just...
