I was directed to the Broadmoor Penrad Imaging location for x-rays. Let me mention my hips were in extreme pain & walking was torture. I arrived shortly after 2 on a Friday. Waited for 1-11/2 hrs, this is partially because the Urgent Care down the hall has priority. Was called back for the x-rays just to find out they only had half the order... not their fault... so I my doctors office who sends the rest of the order. Now it's after 4:00, and I know they close at 5, so I'm getting nervous because I dont want to have to wait till Monday. The previous receptionist has left for the day and another girl in the office is running the front desk. I overhear her tell a patient she would give them their direct fax number. So I ask for that number. She tells me to wait till she's through with that individual (slightly snapping at me). So I am wondering why didn't she give me that number to begin with when she knows I'm waiting. Individual leaves and she calls another patient up. I said excuse me, can I get the number... now it's 4:17... she tells me I have to wait till she checks-in the appointments (this takes her 5-10 mins each and there are 2 more behind him!) All the time I'm hoping my doctors office doesn't close for the weekend. The next lady in line tells me her appointment isn't till 4:30 so I could go ahead of her. So she scribbles a phone number on a sticky note and hands it to me. I call my doctors office who resends the orders to the fax she gave me & waits on the line to make sure they get it. She talks with the sweet lady and she leaves. She checks-in the last lady. I let her know they sent the order & are waiting till they get it. She says she'll check it after she walks someone back. So I wait... what seems like 5 minutes later she gets to her desk, shuffles papers & finally walks to the fax where she finds my orders. I let the nurse on the line go after thanking her. Several minutes later she finally walks me to X-Ray. I left shortly after 5. What was extremely painful was made worse by the rude & unconcerned office person. I will never go to this location. I understand urgent care, but I was there for a reason, not just to wait, in pain, for an afternoon. Had I not asked for the number I would have ended up in an urgent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTechnicians are Absolutely the Best! I did experience a small issue. When I walked through the doors, no one was in line. There is a very short distance between the door and the front desk, so I began to walk to the desk. The reception lady halted me and told me to wait behind the sign. I get it. This is put in place as a security measure. I just feel she could have halted me more kindly. While standing behind the sign waiting for her to call me, I read the sign that says to wait to be called up to the desk. I didnāt see the sign as I came in due to such a short distance from the door and no one being in line. It may be a good idea to announce the rule prior to coming in through the door with a larger sign. In the Hall were it canāt be missed. Again I get privacy, however I am a very kind human and would appreciate the kindness in return. I must have waited for at least 6 minutes or so before she called me up. It seems that she was doing other tasks prior to checking me in. As I was waiting, a song came on the speakers that I hadnāt heard in years and I couldnāt remember who sang it, so I tried Shazamming it. Unfortunately, the people in the room next to the desk weāre talking so loud about someoneās issues that Shazam couldnāt recognize the song due to their loud conversation, that everyone in the whole lobby could hear. Kind of ironic huh. And I didnāt find out the song either after multiple attempts. The same lady who checked me in with her unkind halt, actually took me back to the dressing room and was very kind to me this time. Everyone has their days and moments. This was just my experience and what I had observed. Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love going to Penrad in lake plaza. Their staff is kind, and you are in and out of there so fast! Itās amazing. I got an X-ray yesterday, and 1 hour later my Dr. Called with the results. Literally 1 hour! Also I was dizzy going in and the girl at the front desk immediately gave me a bottle of water, she stopped what she was doing to go grab it, and it was a small thing, but big to someone like me who without water I feel like Iām going to keel over. Then 5 minutes later I was already done with my imaging. I get dizzy standing in one position for a while, so X-rays standing up are not great, but the tech was so fast, and so kind. So thank you to the ladies at Penrad yesterday. Also shout out to the security guard who works that building. He literally gave me a coupon book to Safeway, it also seemed like just a small kind gesture , but it was an act of kindness that made my day a little better! Iāve always had good experiences with Penrad, and when your health is as bad as mine then the quicker the better, and they are always extremely officiant. Thank you to the staff and that kind security officer for making my life easier. I wish more people understood that a little kindness goes a long way when it comes to patients with chronic health conditions, and Penrad has always been one of those groups that sets their standards high. I honestly wish more medical facilities worked as swiftly and cared for the patients time and and concerns as Penrad does. People like me would be more willing to seek the treatment they need in order to get better if other places were as simple as Penrads appointments are....
