Front Range Staffing is a private company that helps job seekers connect to employers in a fairly quick and effective way.
Front range was quick to get in touch with me and offer me a position. I accepted the position. The position was really good, I got to learn new skills and meet new people.
The job was fun and kept me active, just what I asked for! I loved the company and the work I was doing, but an issue quickly came to my attention, the employees would be an issue. I left my previous job to escape sitting so much and get back into some dirty hard work. This was the place right? Until the staff showed how little they cared. For me it was a goal to complete as many orders as possible as effectively and safely as possible. For them it was just an hourly wage cage with no end in sight.
(Majority of the mentioned staff are employees and not from Front Range.) The job started a little slow but the feeling arose very quickly that the people I would be working with are complacent. The first indication was the constant complaining. Every employee of any position I met had complaints. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt but through out my first week I observed negligence and an-unusual ammount of complacency. People would purposely slow down operations because it was a production facility that had a chain of orders, meaning order after order, breaks are 2x15 1x30. You do a product change and continue with the next order. I believe people intentionally slowed operations to leave them for the next shift.
One of the primary complaints was about left over work. A shift would start an order for 1280 Killograms and only go through 200-300 in 8 hours whereas myself and my trainer cleared the remaining 800K, mixed, cleaned and started another order in 6 hours. We setup and finished 1/3 steps for the next order before leaving.
My final day came much sooner than I had hoped for. On my final day I was working while my trainer just kept leaving to talk to people. So i went ahead and began cleaning, when he came back he got mad and said he would probably send me upstairs. He then asked me to help remove a peice of equipment, when I was helping him he appeared to grin at me before jabbing the door to the mixer causing approximately 4Killogramms or 9 pounds of product to pour out on to my face. He proceeded to laugh hysterically then went to the hall to tell his friends about it before sending me upstairs. More happened that day and I reported the events.
Later Front Range let me resign without issue and took what I had to say about the job seriously, professionally and promptly. I wouldn't say this was Front Ranges fault at all, the one disappointment I had was that Front Range could not place me a second time. Again, I understand and they were professional about it and thankfully prompt. (Edit: added positive feedback about...
Read moreI would suggest using another staffing agency, this one doesn't seem to hire people that have experience in those specific job backgrounds and have open schedules(every day of the week and early as 7am). This staffing agency has many listings up on indeed but claim to have no positions available and/or no positions that fit a person's schedule. Things don't add up honestly! If there's no positions available, they shouldn't be listing positions available to hire for. I don't get the no positions for an person with an open schedule, even if they did have an open position but they claim they don't. Seems like a very bad staffing company to do such hiring tactics to people actually looking for employment. Why drag people through the mud or beat around the bush to people about positions that aren't actually available? It doesn't seem right to me. Was reading other reviews and it seems like once they don't like you for some reason or another, they don't help you. The owner has even replied saying things like some things aren't a good fit etc. You're a staffing agency that's supposed to be helping people get employed, you're not the place we'd be working for actually. You're a middle man to companies looking for employees. If people have with plenty of experience in those job backgrounds, pass the testing aspects with flying colors for those specific jobs on indeed then they shouldn't be tossed aside because you don't like them for some reason or another. I have been talking to Courtney at this staffing agency about multiple positions and she's just gave me the run around the whole time and have text messages from her stating no positions available and/or no positions available for my schedule which is an open schedule as stated and have experience in every listing they have...
Read moreThis was my experience... I went into an interview on 4/20/21. I was interviewed by the owner Leona Willener. I would just like to say that the employment opportunities she had available were very low paying for being admin and she said I wouldn’t be able to get a job making over 15 and hour. I proved that wrong and found a job making way more without the staffing agency and I was also hired that day. She set up an interview and told me the hours were going to be 07:30am to 3:00pm. When I got to the interview I was told otherwise. The employer told me it would be from 11:00am-7:00pm. When I got done with the interview I called Leona and told her I wasn’t interested in that job. She replied, well why would I set you up an appointment if you’re not going to go to the interview. I responded that I did in fact go to the interview and she was fair warned that I had a job interview before the job she set me up for. She was a bit upset about me not taking that job and was very crude over the phone. I was very respectful and professional and I didn’t get into it with her because I’m sure she was mad she missed out on some money which I understand the hustle. Also, Going through this staff agency you would be employed by the front range staffing for 480 days and even then you wouldn’t be looking at a promotion from said job until probably 3 years in.. also you wouldn’t be getting the company you got hired for benefits until after the 480days. This was my experience you may have a different one but I would just like to get this experience off my chest and have integrity and respect for others who are looking for a job. Thanks...
