09/07/2024 - I have driven on High Street and have seen the “Current On High” by Janet Echelman (2023) a few times. Today was the first day I took the time to park my vehicle, and really look at this gigantic sculpture that has received mixed reviews. It is made of soft fiber braided with nylon, 229 feet in length, and weighing 714 lbs (wiki, 2024). I think it a masterful masterpiece. Bravo to the artist and congrats on having her artwork serve as functional art within the downtown area to bring her vision to...
