Out of the big three Asian grocery stores in Katy now this is still my favorite one. Each one of the big three are great in their own way, but for what I need every week this is my go to grocery store. They have a wider variety of vegetables than the other two grocery stores, they sell the pork belly and various other cuts of meat pre cut, and the customer service for the seafood is a lot better. For example H-Mart and Tao just sell a bunch of different bok choy plus western vegetables where 99 ranch sells not just different kinds of bok choy, but brocollini, water spinach, etc. The pre packaged fried tofu is a lot better quality here at 99 ranch than H-Mart. My wife and I tried H-Mart's fried tofu and it was basically hollow inside. 99 ranch will basically clean up your fish and even fry it for you before you take it home. I asked the people at H-Mart if they'd filet and descale the fish for us and they said no. 99 ranch also had the best mooncakes available for the mid autumn festival this year. Anyways long story short for the way my family cooks and shops this is the best Asian grocery...

We are incredibly disappointed with the service we received from 99 Ranch Market in south Mason .My husband ordered a custom birthday cake, paid in full, and clearly communicated the changes he wanted to the design. When he went to pick it up, they initially struggled to find his order but eventually handed him a cake from the display that clearly did not match the custom order.

When he pointed out the mistake, the staff shockingly refused to rectify the issue. Instead, they took the cake back and stated they wouldn’t give it to him because he mentioned leaving an honest review about the experience. Despite my husband explaining it was for my birthday and our family was waiting, they refused to provide the cake and only refunded his payment.

This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer service is unacceptable. He ended up getting a cake from Whole Foods at the last minute, but the experience left us deeply disappointed. I hope 99 Ranch market takes this feedback seriously and addresses such behavior to ensure no other customer has to go...
